FPC are the ones who need to do that.

With respect, you aren't going to be able to come good for the fellas that are still waiting in the dark on their stuff, and I doubt that being reminded about how good the maker of the product is will take away the sour taste currently in their mouths.

    Ebay:
I sympathize with everyone having problems, as my order went off without a hitch, however...

I never got a single e-mail from them the entire time, which is bad business.

The only related e-mail I got was from Paypal because of the transaction. I had nothing from Fansproject (or Fansprojectcore, since people are saying they're not related) at all, which, in the cases of people who still haven't gotten theirs, is not very comforting.

Every other site, or even independent seller, I have dealt with, ever, has supplied some sort of "I got your money" communication, followed by a "it's shipped" communication.

Just getting something from Paypal saying "you sent them money" isn't enough.

Sure, mine went smoothly. It was still uneasy until I got it, which I don't like feeling about my money.

And clearly, not everyone's is going smoothly.

Dude, the least they could do was mark the right value on your package :)  They owe you a refund big time for the extra customs charges you've paid!
However, I've just received my PP05s from igear. They gave me the tracking nr right away and the package arrived in ten days. No customs charges. And their shop is still bad compared to a real one that informs you about delays and responds of QC issues.

Uhm... Customs charges are not the responsibility of the Seller.

I think you'll find that when the seller quotes a price of $209(!) on the box with shipping charges of $37, and UK customs base their charges on 20% of that - I will find a way to make damn sure they fucking well are.

How much did you pay for your stuff then? I feel for you that you have to pay for customs taxes...

I paid $120 including shipping. I then paid $63 in customs charges. Because someone can't type.

It is unacceptable that they misrepresented the value of the package so grossly.

Now, that definitely is not your fault. You should have only paid tax on the price of the items inside the package. So, you didn't actually order more than one then?

The customs on an inflated amount is BS. I think FPC should take the hit on two thirds of that amount.

That was a complete error on the senders part and they should be responsible. I really can't believe how horribly this is going.

When I got the bill I was crossing my fingers the screw up would have a beneficial payload. EL OH EL, etc.

Nope - just the one. One declared on the box, $209.99. Beautiful.

That's definitely not right. I do hope that you get compensated back for that error.

I agree with you on that one. Even a simple "We are aware of the issue and are actively working on it" would be nice. But nope so far got zip, zilch, nadda. It's really unfortunate there seems to be a good number of us who are in the "not-received, missing quantity" arena.

I wonder if there is a chance that they had actually oversold the 800 and now some of us would have paid and have not received?

Was this written by hand? I'm guessing it had to be.

I know the address label on my shipment was written by hand and they totally got the address wrong and my package bounced back to them. That ended up to be a 2 week delay. Then when i received it, i was short 1 Steelcore. It was like 2 negatives in a row. 2 wrongs don't make a right here.

    *sigh :(

I just hope they resolve whatever issue they are having before they release anything else.

I hate to say it as I love Fansproject, their products are amazing, although this issue is with Fansproject Core but I'm starting to feel a bit like I've been scammed with Steel Core, paid in full on the 23rd of June to a company that is now totally silent and refusing to answer any messages/e-mails, I have no idea whether my order has been shipped or not or even if the order will be. I know many (if not most) people have received theirs orders without incident but I still have the feeling that I may have to wait to order another one from another retailer if/when they become available.

Nope, it was printed. The screw ups continue reading your posts.

Yours may be in customs waiting on a letter. If you had tracking you could contact Parcelforce to see. Le sigh.

First let me say that I am not trying to belittle the fact that many people still on't have their SCs in hand at all. Besides any circumstances beyond their control with mail carriers and such, I agree that FPC should have been able to get their wares to their paying customers by now.

And the incompetencies with the misadressed mail, over stating the value of the package, one too many or too few items than were ordered, and no response to messages sent about them. That all seems a bit too much to simply explain away with, "It's their first time."

    ...but...

I think the one thing that can be taken away from this first attempt of FPC distributing products directly to fans is not, "I'm never going to preorder through FPC again." I think the lesson I've learned is, "I sure as hell am going to get my preorder in as early as possible next time."

So... the lesson would be: "SINCE their shop sucks, THEN next time I'll pre-order from them as soon as pre-order show up, because they seem to not mess up the first few orders"? I can't understand this logic :)
If I've heard that a shop is bad, I usually stay away until lots of people say it's getting better.
