If that is the case they should make some plugs to fill in the gaps.

I'd chime in to recommend Chimungmung. He's been really reliable, kind, and shockingly speedy sending purchases out. Great guy. Highly recommended.

It still would be highly illegal in countries with gun control laws such as Australia.

Unlike barely legal in the US where an orange plug will do.

A non-transforming Pose-able g1 Megatron that's to scale with existing official toys would be good.

Or if you could buy it in Parts so that each collection is gets past customs...until it's assembled.

Great looking figure... I do want it, but I'm not sure if he really fits into the collection. Also, I have some small concerns...

    - legs not so bad. Not 100% G1, but they're kind of brutally stylish in their way. I don't think they look bad, and there's some artistic interpretation there.

    - I'm also a bit uncertain about the translucent plastic in the joints. First, I HATE translucent plastic used for anything besides windows. It looks bad. But also, I find the transparent stuff more brittle than other plastics, so I'm hoping that this is strong stuff.

    - Size matters, and this guy just feels like he's a touch too small to really step into the role as my #1 Megatron. That alone could be the deal-breaker for me.

I'm more worried about the durability and flexibility of the hip kibble. It looks a little more stiff in these pics than the earlier painted proto pics. The fact that it's there doesn't bother me though... G1 Megatron (toy and toon) had vague "saddlebag" plates. These are just a bit bigger.

I was going to mention that too... I've had nothing but good experiences with Chimungmung. Good seller.

That's my main concern also. He looks great, and the price is reasonable (for a 3rd party piece) but... for the price, I'd want something that really has a firm position in my collection... my "definitive" Megatron. And for that, I need someone who's going to be able to look Faith Leader in the eye (or slightly down at him even). I really don't need a Megatron to match my Classics Prime, who has always been too small and too stylized to be my #1 Prime.

As long as it's shipped in robot mode, and doesn't have pictures advertising the gun mode on the box, I think it's probably pretty safe.

Unless you're planning on walking around town with a gun-mode Megatron in hand, or worried about Australian gun control agents raiding your Transformers collection... which would be silly in both instances.

Not sure what you're talking about, he ALWAYS had waist articulation and the grip of the alt mode looks exactly the same /:(  Maybe it's because it's color molded and fully painted production sample instead of a single colored prototype that was digitally colored but he looks the same to me XD

I was thinking the same thing. Can't wait to "upgrade" my Classics verse Megs with Hegemon.

I'd sooner have that than a fully transforming one as it's the only way to get a decent G1 Megatron robot mode without any compromises.

No, we can't have these. Because then I would want all characters like this and have to start a new collection.

I wouldn't go as far as perfect.

Botmode is pretty kickass, though I do wish he were a bit taller.

Gun mode is a little wonky, but altogether a pretty good compromise.

One problem PRID Prime is shorter then FE Prime. Looks like Hegemon will tower over classics Prime, but be shorter then the PP-01.

Yeah, the TFP Optimus the first guy compared it to is the RiD/Powerizer version, which is shorter than the First Edition Voyager version (which is what Hegemon is compared to in the 3P picture).

And therein lies the problem. Where the heck does Hegemon fit in? Standing him next to Classics/Henkei Prime will look out of synch for being too big. Next to PP01 Faith Leader and he's too small. I suppose he'll look OK in a fully dedicated pure Classics Cons display but I was hoping for a decent Megatron as the centerpiece of a mixed display next to the MP Seeker molds (MP-05 being way too big, and Classics/Henkei/United Megs being too small and so will Hegemon).

Still on the fence on this. I'll wait for reviews first. Still hoping iGear is going forward with their PP02 Horror Monarch but I seriously doubt it at this point.

Revoltech G1 Megatron doesn't transform and it's surprisingly a very well done (very articulated) and toon-accurate looking Megatron. I display him (along with Revoltech Starscream and a custom Skywarp) next to FP Bruticus and it looks decent given they're roughly Scout-class size and Bruti's limbs are too.
