Wait a minute, hold it, HOLD IT!! You - of all the people I would've expected - are actually saying something good about these products? I thought you HATED 3rd party products? I'd seen your posts before which indicated you had...obviously you don't, & I'm not complaining, but I'm just confused...did I miss something? Wait, they actually let you hold the Shockwave? O.O

 

i've never said i hated 3rd party, hell, i own a good chunk of it (city commander, protector, munitioner and explorer, superion, etc.)

I hated igear when they did the coneheads, and the regular seekers

I support original 3rd party ideas when they do not rip off hasbro engineering, and this shockwave is probably the nicest 3rd party item i've ever seen, it is so worth it

 

trust me, he is a display piece all of his own, you can put him on a bookcase or so by himself and it looks so damn imposing

 

OH! My apologies. I suppose I only noticed those posts back when iGear was all over the news here I do actually own the iGear Ramjet & like him, but wish it never had to come to buying an unofficial Masterpiece that Takara could've easily done on their own. I also own KM-01 & KM-01X, & can't wait for this new Shockwave & those Seekers. Not sure when I'll get all these though. If MMC can keep these lower-priced, I'll be in luck.

step 2...mess around w/it a little or a lot..if thats ur thing

step 3...find a spot...be it w/ ur other bots or a stand alone fig

step 4... bask in the magnificence that is the all mighty cyclops

On a related note, was there any third party drama at Botcon? People selling, attempts to confiscate, Hasbro making any statements, etc?

 

from what i saw there were no confiscations at botcon, most dealers were smart enough that if they were selling something, it was small and easily hidden.

Though stuff like hercules, giant, cyclops, air screech, etc. were on display in the dealer room

i know pete sinclair gave me the stink eye when i was handling cyclops  

 

Was the cyclopes you handled a resin prototype or was it a pretty close to product prototype? Can you give us any ideas on how the joints felt?
