Haha, it wasn't a big thing. It was just a bunch of dudes generally agreeing that purple was tough to photograph. I thought you were there as you're usually present for photography discussions.

You are most welcome re: instructions. I hope you're pleased with your purchases, I'm a bit jealous.

 

That was intially a thought but a stencil that size would be hard, the dusting from the spray would look sloppy and just going by my mp skywarp the process looks screened and not sprayed. Screening allows for a nice clean and flush look. I'm sure I could figure it out.


edit: looking up info now I think an Iron on transfer might be worth a look as well.

Good idea, whilst the cape looks good in photos in reality I got sick of the way it hangs on SS's back so now he just holds it with the smirk face. I do like the look of the plastic one as it looks like you can get some real good poses out of it.

 

Please let me know what you come up with for this. The font is just Impact, so it shouldn't be that hard to come up with something, but the best I've found so far has been letter stickers which obviously don't look perfect (though you can definitely get them in the right font, I have yet to find them in the right color, the closest being white, the paint apps are, of course, silver).

Additionally, this could be of some use to you.

 

I think you misread. I want the faction symbols not to be stickers. Bases and such I'm sure would be easy. They used to make vinyl rub on lettering in white long ago (before digital boom in the arts). I'd go that route for lettering.

 

I think you'll be impressed. PP03L was my first Masterpiece grade TF and although I was annoyed that they changed the colour of the thighs I was relieved to find that he was awesome in person. In fact I was so pleased I've now got PP03T - who is even better, and I have PP03D on preorder. With a little help from Reprolabels these guys are gonna replace my classics seekers. Especially since G. I. Eddie pointed out the headsculpt being produced by jbarbs/Zildjians. And although I don't have it, I do think IGears Sunstorm is better than Takara's - it's also a limited edition.

I did misread. My apologies. I have no help for that, but would be very interested to know what you come up with. I am very ignorant beyond the basic tape 'n' brush stuff.

Actually I shouldn't take credit, my girlfriend made it, I just picked out the fabric and gave her a sketch. It's even somewhat pose-able as there's some wire baked in. She'd be a way better customizer than me if she cared at all about boys toys from the 80s.

Thank heavens. At least my entire perception of reality isn't distorted re: posts I've read.

Would you mind if I asked who you purchased from?

 

I have somewhat of an interest in picking these up, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to successfully unload the official releases that are already in my collection. I'd imagine I'm not going to get what I'm asking for.

 

i went ahead and ordered all three that i wanted: thundercracker, starscream, and skywarp from igear today. im guessing tcracker and starscream will ship first. i hope they dont wait for skywarp to come in before they ship since it was free shipping.  

i dont see myself springing for the coneheads or sunstorm. im going to try to keep my mp collection reasonable size wise. cant wait for the upcoming soundwave and hopefully shockwave mps.

 

When I ordered multiples, they would send each one by themselves. That was my experience anyway..

He's right, they send things seperately, and it's annoying.

Also, it generally takes about 2 weeks.

thanks. as long as they both get here in good shape i'm all good. i do enjoy having packages to wait for, but its best when they are almost here. 2 weeks isnt that bad.  

god please let me resist.   if i have the scratch and the igear coneheads drop at all in price, maybe... just maybe...
