Not a problem for me. I have a small nose anyway. My collection is for myself, not for bragging rights or "resale value" , but a enjoyable hobby filled with some "real," some ko's, and some 3rd party figures that fit my collections style.

What? Collecting what you want because you want it and not because its the "in" thing to do and other people do it while not giving a two bit shits as to what other people think? What a concept.....I must learn this.....

I have absolutely no need for a CHMS Breakdown ...

... until I saw the shoulder launcher. Now I want it to give the launcher to the BotCon one on my shelf. It's like Malibu Stacy with a new hat. I'm so hooked.

So any reason why this one is 43 bucks and not closer to 30 bucks like the seekers. Anybody who has this, can they say how are the joints and paint apps? Any video review out there. Like to see one if there is.

As the seekers became more common, they got cheaper. They started out $40-45 too. I've picked some up for $10 to $15 each now. I'm sure Breakdown will lower in price too as everyone who wanted one picks it up, and they have to lower the price to get more sales.

OH! Is THAT what a KO is? Thank you for clearing that up.

First off, since we're addressing techincalities. The expression is "sam HILL" not 'Hell". Second, Your initial example that I was reponding to referred to there being no difference between the KO and the real thing because they are both "coming from China". My example still holds accurate because both Hamburger and Filet Mignon come from the same cow and one is just a cheaper quality of meat.

Again, good job getting the expression wrong. It's when you 'assume' you make an ass out of 'u' AND 'me' so if you want to hold to that then feel free include yourself in the insult of calling someone an 'ass' :lol

So far I haven't heard anything you say or bring up as being a part of any form of 'discussion'. You come across as being just an angry bitter teenager who easily gets his feathers ruffled and lashes out with poorly constructed sarcasm. It's cliched at best.

Fascinating that you chose 1 out of 7 completed auctions that happen to go well beyond the $60 price point and another auction that has had no actual sales to date, thus nullifying your use of it an an example for an actual "going price" for the figure.

In all fairness, let's show some of the other auctions that have recently ended, shall we?:

    Botcon 2010 G2 Generation 2 Classics Breakdown | eBay

    $51.00 plus shipping

    http://vi.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI...egory=168240&bv=msie&nv=2&sd=3&vct=1&caz.html

    $53 plus shipping

TRANSFORMERS BOTCON 2010 BREAKDOWN COMPLETE NEVER TRANSFORMED | eBay

    $60 shipped

Botcon 2010 BREAKDOWN figure SEALED | eBay

    $53.50 plus shipping

How are you getting that people are paying more for the KO? The example you used showed the KO being $43.53 and the legit one being $52.89 (not the lowest price one btw as I showed above).

And ACTUALLY, most Botcon pieces haven't really hit much higher prices since the 2009 line due to FP over-producing their sets to meet the inflated demand caused by the popularity of the 2007 and 2008 sets.

There are a few pieces from each year's sets that will go for a decent chunk more due to popularity of character or mold, but look at trying to get the 2009/2010 sets. BBTS was having to clearance both of these for at low as $192/$254 respectively at one point.

And there is a reason for that. 2008 was an extremely popular set and the Classics Optimus mold was one of the most popular molds at the time. Of course he and Rodimus were going for astronomical prices. And I have already acknowledged them (well, Rodimus anyway) in my previous point. So to bring it up here as a counterpoint is pointless.

Uh... not to bust your little bubble, but those people didn't spend $$ on hotel rooms and registration (which was ridiculous to even bring that up since the registration got you the boxset and therefore was not an extra cost) JUST to get a G2 breakdown. They also got the full weekend Botcon experience, including dealer room, panels, autographs, Hall of Fame dinner, etc.. etc... The only cost associated with obtaining the G2 Breakdown was the actual cost of the boxset which we already have addressed. Nice try though.

    Hello?

    Hey Kettle! It's Pot!

    YOU'RE BLACK!

As I said before, if you are fine with it. Happy day. Enjoy your cheaper alternative. This whole thing began with me just wondering why anyone would pay a mere $10 (HELL, even $20) more for an inferior product that experience has taught me will not last near as long as the original. I realize now that you likely took a personal extreme offense to my use of the term 'moronic'. For that, I apologize sincerely. I should not have said that.

My point still remains and I still stand by it but not for any of the various reasons you have concocted and thrown out here.

Actually, it wouldn't matter primarily because saying "Sam Hill" was to not use words like "devil" or "hell"....saying "hill" was just to clean up the language. There's a whole history on this person named "Sam Hill" too. Later on, people started to pronounce it "sam hell" instead of "sam hill" for the sounding of it. Nothing wrong with it. People still use the phrase either way, hill or hell....whatevers. So yeah...

Honestly, you misinterpreted what the guy was saying here. The guy was basically implying that it should not matter. NOT that there was no difference. But because you failed to correctly interpret what he said by your own admission.....it still means used the "example" wrong. Though again, I know what you were trying to get at.....you still used it incorrectly here.

*sigh* I do understand sometimes the internet does hide sarcasm and I can understand now judging by the way you post that you missed on the fact that I PURPOSELY left it out for a reason. Either way, I'm going to start chalking this up to me and you not seeing eye to eye on this.

See? Again, you are not even interpreting things correctly. And now you're just skimming over posts to find something to complain about and point out. Are you trying to deny the fact that you initially responded to something that wasn't even directed at you? I think you are. Look back at your reply to the guy. He wasn't even TALKING TO YOU but you had to go butt in with a butt hurt feeling. Or, rather as you put it "angry bitter teenager who easily gets his feathers ruffled." What's funny is....again....he wasn't even talking to you or ABOUT you.

But if laughing at you is considered "getting my feathers ruffled" ...... okay :lol
I also like the fact that you're trying so hard here :lol  :D

You know what's even EQUALLY fascinating? Its the fact that you AGAIN, failed to take into account that when I posted that, ummm......it was all that was there (or at least all that it showed me).

Ummm, dude....you were the one giving the impression that people were paying more for the KO. I just responded to it.

And ACTUALLY, of the ones people want, and have a KO for....ya know what....nevermind. This is getting real tiresome having to explain something to someone who gives off the impression that he should know better. Its almost as if you're reading what you want to read, but not reading what's actually put out there.

Really? You're using BBTS as an example? Ok.

Um, no its not pointless. Again....this is getting real tiresome having to explain something to someone who gives off the impression that he should know better. ESPECIALLY when the WHY of it all should be obvious. I'm starting to get the hint that you're really oblivious to a lot of things.

Oh, so.....like...you're going to act like some people could have gotten that botcon exclusive (aside from ebay which usually inflates the price anyway at the time of release), without having to travel, pay for certain expenses to be at botcon? Hmmmmm......interesting thought process there.

*facepalm* No, its called pointing out the fact that you obviously lack any sense of understanding. And there's something else too....but.....

    Wait....what? Didn't you just say:

Ooooh I see now. You're confusing what you're saying with what I'm saying. Gotcha.

Its not about how long the toy will last man. Ok, lets just put down any proverbial gloves and let's just put it all out there ok? This is all about people wanting to have the figure, but maybe.....can't afford to pay the marked up prices for it. It can also include and is NOT limited to the fact that people do work, have busy schedules and CANNOT sit on ebay 24/7 to try and snipe something at a "good deal." Whatever that "good deal" may be for them. The KOs are providing them an option. Its just that simple. No need to over complicate it or make others feel bad for making a decision that clearly is not hurting anyone here. If you want to really blame someone and go on a tirade, then blame the companies that are making the KOs. But before you do, lemme go buy my figures first :D

And no, I took no offense to your use of the term "moronic." Again, you're assuming too much here and not really reading anything. If you look back, my first response was to get you to chill because you were the one who came off all angry and "feather ruffled", but then I took a look at your cow example, and felt that that was ridiculous. And honestly it was. I just posted an even more ridiculous interpretation to show my opinion on it. That's all there is to it. But then you wanted to assume I'm getting all angry and emotional about all this :D .....which by the way really had me laughing, and then you responded in an emotional way befitting that of what you were trying to accuse me of being :D  Irony.

That and the fact that you're giving the vibe that someone buying a KO to help complete their collection is low. Like you're better than them or something. If that wasn't your intention, then fine. All I'm saying is, you're putting that vibe out real strong. That's all.

While I'm come to terms with some of the crippled logic that passes for debate here, please don't read the first two lines of a wikipedia page and proceed to argue etymological inaccuracies

So the box says "http://weibo.com"? That's a good way to tell it's a KO.

I'm still not sure if that price is just for the box. Has anyone actually seen the P/CP ko in the flesh?

at 42.90 it must be figure and box. Since TFCC hasn't sold any Punch/Counterpunches without boxes, it wouldn't make sense to sell ko boxes without ko figures. though I would have preferred no box to cut figure costs. Maybe they will sell it with and without box.
