This is one of the most logical ideas that I'd hoped to see somebody tackle. I will definitely try to keep an eye on how this pans out!

It looks good. Any chance of the inner bot fitting in the chest in robot mode?
Also, if this works out, is there a follow up Stormbringer kit?

Immensely logical and a great idea, but I imagine the size the things will need to be in order to have remotely decent transformations will make them look utterly ridiculous when attached to the bigger figures.

Wasn't someone just talking about trying to convince a 3rd party to make this the other day? Can't wait to see some good prototype and color pictures, but so far I am intrigued.

This actually makes me want Botcon Metalhawk a lot more... I still don't think I'll get him, but this does make me want it more than before.

Good concept, but it's huge and hangs out, not much "inner robot" to it. Jet mode looks like a flying shoebox. Not digging it.

The way it hangs off is G1 accurate. I'm not saying that makes it good, but it's accurate to the original at least.
