You're right. I still don't care for it though. Little robot mode is good but the rest suffers IMO.

Wondering about this too. I think fans will like this, but I'm hesitant on the project actually happening with out some prototype pics

    That has some merit.

But if it was me I'd prefer it bonding directly to the underside of the vehicle nose, storing on the back in robot mode - acting as a Targetmaster rifle as a back up mode. and perhaps even have an alternative vertical storage between the legs in vehicle mode.

It might also be worth having the hand gun connect to the nose gun to make another weapon either as decoration or as some kind of hand axe.

I like the robot mode but that drone thing that comes with the toys is the part I take issue with that need some play value enhancement to be added to it by an add on.

The robot mode you have there is pretty, and you look like the sort of person/s I see could do a good job with updated brestmaster like companions too.

Perhaps a simple idea is to allow a conversion piece that allows the old G1 inner robot to be used as a connection to the newer toy. Then you'd get the swing wings too which is a feature I liked.

Cool! I'm not really digging the look of it in jet mode, but the G1 toy has a pretty similar thing going on. I'll still be following this with interest :)

Already a huge fan of Fakebusker's stuff as can probably be seen in my videos. I can't wait to get all 3 of these guys.

Now get something prepped for Octopunch Ariel!

That's a really good idea, props to the guys who designed it. I suspect that they'll end up around the size of the Perfect Effect figures.

This was an idea that was too good not to do. Of course execution can't be perfect considering the design constraints, but I'm interested in seeing how this project unfolds.

Very cool. So how do we buy these? As I'll likely want all three.

Great idea and design! I'll eagerly purchase a fully produced piece if it looks like the promo shots.

However, the only thing Thunderwing absolutely needs is the BFG quad-barreled Cyclone Cannon from the UK comic run.

A conversion plug to allow the guns he has already to sit tip to tip in parallel rather than staggered when combined would be nice too.

Humm i would have made the "inner" bot replace the nose cone but not bad all things considered, still think a 3rd party needs to do a thrunderwing from scratch.

I imagine they will be the size of a Headmaster or Micromaster. I don't think they need to be much bigger. I don't think Thunderwing was very big back in G1 anyways, and these new Shells are downsized, so the inner bot must be too.

Eeeh. I'm going to pass. I was hoping for something that actually transformed into the drone rather than a targetmaster gun thing slapped underneath a plane. Plus I don't know much about Sky Shadow or Thunderwing anyway so these don't have much of an appeal for me.

Absolutely love the robot mode, but, like others have said, I would have preferred he replace the drone or at the very least fit much farther back under the nose of the jet.
