You are not alone. I'm more excited about finally having Targetmasters for my G1 Kup and Hot Rod than I am about anything announced at BotCon at all.

Yeah, that's where I'll be watching.

I wonder once they make replacements for the original Targetmasters, maybe make ones for the Double Targetmasters too, what is on the agenda? Maybe a tiny Shockwave? Or Targetmasters for Classic toys that never had one? I'd be game for those.

Cool. Are the color schemes gonna be like the renderings?

These would be great for Classics versions of the characters they go with...

...if they had them. I'll get them anyway "just in case". The other four are a higher priority though.

The double targetmasters REALLY need updates. They look so cool with all the details and molded weapons but suck because of lack of posability.

But again, they don't have partners (though we may get Spinister this year).

Well, I'm biased as to where you should order from (me!) of course, but...very soon! :D

And I wouldn't be surprised if some variants of these show up with colorations to match at least some of the double-Targetmasters. In fact, I know a certain store that is very likely to have ones that would be a perfect match to Spinister and Quake...

They all look pretty cool, but I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of differences between the figures. There are basically two or three unique designs for each part and they mixed and matched those parts to make new figures. Sure the gun barrels are different, but the heads are all the same. It was done save money, but making ten different characters out of less than three unique molds seems a bit repetitive. I know this has been brought up before and I don't really mean any ill will towards the designer(s), but it's hard to keep getting excited about these.

I love Targetmasters, but part of that appeal comes from being able to store on their partner's alt mode. Targetmasters by themselves are like Headmasters without a body. I've got better things to invest my money in.

The first 4, at least, can do that.

They all have a stepped 4mm to 5mm peg and a 3mm c-clip. Just about any TF with a way to attach a weapon in alt mode, can hold these guys in alt mode.

So will they fit under Rodimus chassis? The space is limited to the sides.

Most people attached Sidearm to Rodimus by flipping the back end of the car up over the roof and then swinging the wings back. Then you have a nice mounting spot right there.

Regarding mounting one of these to Henkei/Classics Rodimus, it has been stated that the upcoming United Rodimus was retooled specifically to be able to hold the Firebolt that is being done as a children's survey exclusive in Japan right now. That remold is also supposed to let it mount on his engine just like G1 Targetmaster Rodimus. Which means it SHOULD work perfectly with Shooter Masters, too.

So that might be just enough reason to entice some folks to buy the new United Rodimus (Hmm, I wonder where one could do that... )

Pre-orders are up at Captured Prey:
    MasterShooter Collectibles

Pretty reasonable prices for the 4-pack and 2-packs. I didn't have any Decepticon targetmasters - are the two-packs lined up for them?

Based on the names, Nitpicker/FireBrand go w/Spinister, and Firebox/Pinnacle go with Quake. Cool. I always liked double targetmasters
