Missed the FedEx guy yesterday cause I was sleeping so I had them switch to dropping it at a local FedEx store. Picked it up today and guess what. The instructions were perfectly fine. No moist pages (ha ha I said moist). Everything looks great. I'll be pulling it out of the package tomorrow when I have time off work.

The free USAGround coupon still works. Just buy $125 worth of stuff (I think they uped it to that) and you're all good. I'll post a couple picks later on tonight.

Yep, I ordered throught TFS too (the shipping discount was just way too sweet for me) but yeah, I can live with the wait. I mean, look at the people who waited for iGear's Ironhide and Ratchet, not that must have been hell. If they could manage those months of waiting, a couple of weeks for Giant is no big deal.

I realise this is out of TFSource's control, but a bit of customer service goes a long way IMHO. If every online store was delayed, then maybe you don't need to say anything. But just changing the release date on the sly is a bit crap. There's been a few people asking about it on their facebook page and they've all been ignored. So it's left up to a UK shop that doesn't even sell to America/Australia to tell us what's going on. I wouldn't give a crap if it were just some random TF Prime deluxe or something generic like that, but this is something pretty special with a fairly hefty price tag attached - I'm sure their cut of that price tag is pretty decent. There's quite a few high-priced 3P products coming up in the next 12 months, so might be a good time to set themselves up as the place to go for 3P items.

Ain't that the truth. LOL I remember that guy. And how tough it was to keep him standing. I almost forgot I ever had one. Needless to say I don't miss him.

Hey masters, what would you suggest as support for the ankle ball joint in gestalt mode ? Through numerous poses I feel that this part will loosen up fast, any suggestion ?

Not really. You can somewhat approximate it by using the hinge joint as the elbow, and the balljoint as a forearm swivel. But then that makes his elbow really high, and sacrifices the bicep motion.

[edit] I derped. He has a separate bicep swivel as well. Still leaves him with a high elbow, though, but you can use his balljoint elbow as a forearm swivel without sacrificing too much.

Got the yellow Giant and pre-ordered the green. This is a cool set.

Anyone know, any chance of an orange set to complete the trifecta?

I think the old head blended in a lot better on Hook in robot mode than the new one, thanks to the green(or yellow) back. That pic makes it look like he found a head on the floor and wants to kick it.

The new head has a similar block on the back - it's just not painted for some reason. I prefer the old head too, just as it's a little more G1-ish but the face is bigger on the new head, which is nice.

Regardless of all the little things I'm not fully a fan of, I am loving this set. I miss it when I'm not at work playing with it on my desk. haha! I want to leave it in Devy mode but I just can't. The figures are all great with fun transformations and solid posability. Little things like not-Mixmaster looking like part of Kiss, not-Hook's head painted fully green rather than just the back, not-Bonecrusher's arm/shoulder clearance and not-Scavenger's neck piece... but there's just too much else to love about it.

Argh. Anyone want a Yellow Giant for $400 shipped?

The hook improvements won me over to the green team. Extra hip articulation and warming up to the green did me in. Yellow's got the paint and color I prefer though. This is a tough call.
