I do wish TFC's individual Constructicons had as much personality as these guys. TFC's guys are Energon/Cybertron-era stiff looking, whereas these guys have a better sense of Universe/Generations-style personality.

But in the end, I'm favouring TFC's more recognizable (but Classics-ish) updates, and their rendition of Devastator, in contrast, has more personality and weight behind him.

These look way better than the TFC ones, no question about that for me. At least in bot mode.

Really liking the robot modes. ^_^

For those asking about price, that's been known since the Cherry Bomb Toy Show: roughly $50 each ($300 MSRP total) in the box set. A bit more in the pairs that release first (I think $136 a pair, but that may be contested). The pairs have more paint --possibly hazard stripes-- & something extra that has yet to be revealed.

For those wondering how close to release these are, the first 2 should be up for preorder anytime now, & out either this month or next.

The pairs will be G2 yellow. There may be a yellow box set, but info on that isn't as clear. There will be a G1 green box set. A box set is due out in February, but we aren't sure if it'll be yellow or green first.

    These things are oozing character.

I don't know what it is, maybe Long Haul, maybe the heads, but they feel like a super villian team.

    Love em'

Scavenger was shown off at the Cherry Bomb Toy Show, so he wasn't just revealed/ unblurred, so no new pic, so he doesn't belong.

Hmmm.... Looking more like my Christmas bonus may be used on these. I like Hercules better overall, but these guys look fun, and lets face it, there are so many more classics Autobots than Decepticons, that I have no problem lining these guys and having two Devastator's to kick ass. Herc will be Devastator, and Giant will be Annihilation, Shockwave's second try at them. :D

I am so totally sold on these now. While Long Haul and Bonecrusher have by far the least amount of G1 homage, the rest are so wonderfully full of homage that it makes up for the other two.

I gotta say, I love the way they look. Seem way more posable than tfcs "energon" Hercules. They're a double bought for me.

These and Battle Tanker will hopefully be released at seperate times. Otherwise, I may have to choose, and I don;t want to do that.

    Mixmaster and Scrapper look fantastic.

Hook and Scavenger are decent but really need different head designs (and for fuck's sake, the crane better be able to attach to the back).

Bonecrusher is not related to the original in any way.

Long Haul is just... ugh... words cannot describe how awful he is.

Overall, the designs are much cleaner and modern than TFC's designs. Devastator in combined mode looks to be decently poseable.
