I hope it isn't a lot too cuz that is the best G1 representation of them yet!

Good points made about the price - this could be the first iGear figure to really reach a large market - making these a little cheaper will increase sales meaning a larger production run meaning lower per-figure manufacturing costs. Here's hoping they've done the maths.

As has been started multiple times in 2 or 3 threads now, they're 7.5 inches tall. That puts them taller than Deluxe by about head & shoulders, which is about right for scale. They are in scale to iGear's Faith Leader (mini-MP Optimus), which looks great w/ Classics like Prowl, going by pics I've seen & reposted. Go back a few pages, I reposted the pics in this thread as well, along w/ an image of all Season 1 the Autobots, to show size comparisons.

They should come up to Faith Leader's (iGears mini MP Op) shoulder, where Classics Sideswipe comes up to Op's silver stipe in robot mode.

    Those are awesome.

I can now pass on Classics Ironhide and put that money towards this (far superior) Ironhide instead.

At first glance, it does look like these are at least based on the MP Prime mold a bit. So I doubt if these are completely 100% original.

I'm sure that these will appeal to the rabid geewunners here, but to my mind they don't look like they would fit in scale with Classics. I used to drive a Nissan Vanette (the G1 Ironhide van) every day, and they are really small, and not significantly bigger than the average sedan, so to have them towering over other Classics deluxes as high as has been shown on this thread would not look right in my mind. I'm perfectly happy with what I've got anyway.

Couple that with the lack of QC that iGear is known for, and it's an EASY pass. You guys who want it, have fun, and I hope it turns out well.

I'm in for one of each.

I have had no QC issues with either Faith Leader or the Kup heads so I am confident these will be OK regardless of the continued remarks by people looking for any excuse to hate on iGear.

Their scale with Classics/Henkei Prime is irrelevant to me as Faith Leader is displayed with my Classics Autobots anyway. These won't be cheap but are by far the best representations of G1 Ironhide & Ratchet so the lack of an official license doesn't have any effect on my decision to buy them.

I really don't understand some of the hate these are getting now. What is it this time? Please tell me. Is it just the fact that they're made by iGear?

Everyone who's taken the time to actually post in this thread cares, even you, apparently (even if it's only to hate hate hate, lol).

My Faith Leader came with no QC issues (aside from the normal expected idiosyncrasies from the MP Prime mold) so iGear gets high marks for quality in my book. This is what fans want, and iGear delivers.

I really don't understand how people can criticize iGear and yet still support other third party companies and their products. So people will draw the line at "borrowed" molds and engineering, but are perfectly fine with stolen IP (with enough tweaks for the company to call it their own; news flash -- every third party company is stealing IP from HasTak regardless of molds and engineering) and then act like their shit don't stink for it?

    Honestly, can you say hypocritical?

Anyway, back on topic. The more I look at these the more I kinda want them. (And I'm not even much of an Autobot fan outside of Prime, Wheeljack, and Powerglide, lol.) But the MP Seekers gotta have someone to face off against aside from Prime and tiny Generations Wheeljack. XD (OK, maybe MP Grimlock too this summer.)

Hope we get to see some more in depth photos of the molds (perhaps standing next to Faith Leader or one of his repaints for a better sense of scale).

I'll be getting at least one of these. If the price is right, and the QC is up to par, both. Really nice looking so far. Can't wait to see what they come out with next.

Wow. I'll pass because my collection is vaguely on the deluxe/voyager scale but if ever there was a gateway toy to start getting BTs and MPs, these are they. Absolute love.

Ha, if this was a Hasbro release you'd be all over it. When the worst thing you can say about them is that the picture is Photoshopped (way less than all those "official" photos that Hasbro put out) then you really are reaching.

    You really are quite pathetic.

This is a definite buy for me, since it's confirmed they get both heads. I really prefer the more Classic looking face over the IDW head. And I really hope that no-one that is hating on the size of these figures has Grapple or Inferno in their Classic collection.

so these are PP releases too and therefore Alt/ MP scale, shame they won't be deluxe

it's good to see Igear moving out into fully designed from scratch figures. I'll definitely look into a Ratchet if the reviews come out favourable.
