I finally got a KO MP Red Alert.

I don't know. A lot of people said it was the worst Lambo KO, but my copy (after a bit of shaving for the chest peg and the head) it's very stiff. Better than other Lambo and Datsun KOs I fiddled with, and on par with WJ and Tracks.

I can say it's a "first batch" Lambo KO because it's quite different from KO Tigertrack (Tigertrack didn't need the chest fix and Lamborghini was correctly spelled) but it isn't loose at all, and the paint is quite good.

For a B list character this KO is a very good option...

 

Kind of like energon cubes.

Heyo, I don't want to start up a new than gin here so I'll just ask: Is there a good thread or source for non Tf stuff that still converts and the like? I'm talking that Hop Hop Bunny, Robo Savior, HoneHone Saurus, Wordian, etc. The more convoluted rabbit-holish the toy the better.

I'm just trying to pick some up here and there but these sites are either illegible or heinously expensive.

 

I think this thread is probably your best source for discussion about those types of items... at least on this site.

I don't know much about those other properties, but I'm sure some of the other contributors might.

I like the character, but it's still a damn ugly mold, he needs something better.

 

It FEELS that way, but has anybody actually broken anything yet? I found it is actually quite strong plastic, just thinner than usual and gives the impression of being weaker. I'd say it's quite robust, just a bit stiff (as lot of KO's are, they often have tight joints and parts etc)

I thought something was going to break the first time I transformed it, as the joints were so tight, but afterward there were no stress marks or anything else to speak of.

 

If they're doing a Drift KO, I hope they do all the repaints we should have gotten like Cheetor and Tigatron.

And hopefully they throw in Blurr's weapons too.

Actually, Ravage would be most welcomed as well all things considered. And especially if he came with Blurr's weapons. His pistols would homage his pistols from the Transmetal toy and the sniper would homage this panel from the final BotCon comic.

As I noted, it's still quite tough. I haven't had a problem yet, otherwise I would have mentioned it. I just speak of how it feels.

But this plastic does not seem to be that sort of softer, thicker ABS plastic that we have seen on a lot of Hasbro figures. You can kind of tell that this plastic wouldn't 'bend' much or respond well to sudden impacts... and the overall effect is a figure that feels just a bit light and hollow relative to its size.

We're also not children, and we can generally be counted on to treat our toys well, so it's not a big issue. This KO looks good, and poses well, and it isn't about to fall apart for no good reason. But I won't lie and say that it feels great in hand either. It's clearly not as rugged as most of the recent stuff we've been seeing from WJ and KBB, and I do wonder if the joints will stay as tight over time.

Oh make no mistake, its for sure cheaper shittier plastic than the really good stuff, but its still on par with or better than most hasbro toys in value and build quality etc, NOT as thick, but as strong.

If you have wei jiang and kbb stuff as a 10 (out of KO's) at the top of the scale, and dollar store turdburger things that flake apart in your hands or destroyed with brick by THEW, as a 1 in quality, I would put it at about a 5, in the mid point.
I think if anything it's s more likely to scrape paint with repeated transformations than break etc. I put my one back in dino mode and he's staying that way, their megatron Im leaving in bot mode as the gun mode has no use for me at all.

 

What's coming is that the sharkies are packed 3 to a box. One with translucent and two regular ones.

 

Has anyone ever did a size comparison between it and a original gnaw? Cause I'm interested in army building gnaw, but not if they are all out of scale with each other.

 

It's getting pretty confusing about these MFT Sharkies at the mo, I've heard tell both that he's in the three pack as well as claims that he's not and will be a single release with the 3-pack being standard colours?
Has that been entirely nailed down yet?

 

Given that many sellers remove the packaging I'll just be buying the single ones already listed and may pick up the variant if it's decent. Don't really care for translucent plastic on toys.
