So the head is limited but we have time for the guns? I'm getting UW Bruticus so the guns are all I'm interested in and my April toy money is accounted for.

 

So I had 55 pre-orders invoiced. Went out for an errand, and come back to over 40 news orders. So those who missed the boat, will be put on a waiting list. As the molds will be revised for production, I'll see if I can make it a bit easier to produce, which may or may not open more kits up.

Yes, guns are limited for a time. They'll be around atleast until mid May.

 

Will those of us who ordered but missed the cut off be sent an email letting us know?

Absolutely Amazing!

I have been scratching my head for months now on how to create a more G1 accurate head for Blast Off. I have considered everything from retooling my spare First Aid and Alpha Bravo figure's heads to using Shapeways products.

I can finally have a best of both worlds Blast Off with a more fitting military alt. mode and an awesome G1 inspired head!

I don't normally do much when it comes to 3P add-on's but.....

That's the nicest looking Blast Off head I've seen! I decided to order one and the guns, Swindle's cannon is badass!

 

I do like that Blastoff head. Makes a whole lot of difference. I'm still banking on Hasbro releasing the shuttle but I do feel this is good option for those who want jet Blastoff as their Blastoff.

 

I'd previously purchased the Stunticon weapon set, and I couldn't possibly be happier with how the G1-inspired weapons truly completed the feel of the group.

So I just placed an order for the Combaticon three-weapon set, as I can't imagine Swindle being without his arm cannon, and UW Brawl needs something more fitting than just borrowing his turret as a weapon.

It's a shame the Vortex weapon looks to be in CW teal versus the more aqua blue of the UW version I'm getting, but I'm certain I can make use of it in some other way.

Regardless, I hope I made the cut for the weapon set, and I'm really looking forward to continuing to see your amazing work in action for a long time to come, Venksta.

If the reason for the limited amount is because the problem is assembling the small parts for the head, I'd be OK with being sent the parts and assembling it myself.

 

It would seem to me that it is more about the time and effort it takes to create the 4 individual parts of the head than the assembly.

Either way, I hope if Venksta sees this much interest, he may be able to afford a little extra of his time to create more pieces. I know he's a busy guy though, so I wouldn't necessarily expect it.

 

I have to say, Venksta is continually upping his game. The sculpts, light piping, color matching, and general attention to detail in the final products... not to mention just the solid ideas of what to enhance on Hasbro's figures.

I can't recommend these more to anyone who has the figures and the loose dough. He's also always adding in great free surprises. He's a real asset to our fan community.

I'm going to keep the pre-order open, so people can still order. Just that, the first 75 orders will be priority for now. After that, if the work to make these isn't as hard as I think it will be, I'll consider a 2nd run.   So if you do want one, throw an order in.

Also, I will do a Unite Warriors Combaticon variant for the weapons. But they'll be up for pre-order, after the box set is released.

 

Venksta - I had an question/idea for Swindle's cannon. Is there a 5mm port on the side of his cannon so his hand gun can be pegged in like the G1 toy?

As nice as this is, I really see no need for this, given the not much more expensive Takara UW Bruticus is coming which has a proper space shuttle Blast Off, and G1 cartoon colored characters.

The guns are OK, but I'd have frankly been more interested in new cannon/gatling arms for Vortex... it's really annoying that Victorion's helicopters got new arms, not Vortex.
