I was concerned when Cloudblast came out. Actually, concerned when Neca Turtle KO's were discovered just as good as the originals. Things are changing up. This is the next stage and I believe we just went in the wrong direction.

Haven't seen the KO Wrestle thread yet, but I was working my way to getting Wrestle, the Quakewave re-release and Utopia. Also Nero Rex, MP18B, Apollyon and mayhap Eva Convoy... what do I do now? What would everyone else do? If this is the case, I'd be going cheap right?

 

This is for the normal sized one, listing is already cancelled on Taobao site... only oversized for now....

 

Hmm... so this will be around the height of Hasbro's Titan Metroplex?

 

Apparently.

 

This lists the KO as 60 cm tall, and Titan Metroplex is 24 inches tall, which is 61 cm. Practically the same height.

The original Utopia/Dystopia is 40cm tall, so this is a 150% the original size.

 

I hope they fix Utopia's head sculpt (bigger and lose the odd ears) or use the Dystopia's, which was more g1 accurate anyway. That was the biggest thing that turned me off on MT's version.

If not on Utopia fixes, I'll get Dystopia to give him his own place, instead of being a straight repaint of the other.

As to ditching the official Metro, I really like TFC's Sixgun and the other 3P add ons better. I'm not sure the ones that sounds like will come with this will look good. We shall see.

Not really. Depends where you buy it and if the exchange rate is in your favor. I bought two UW Devastators and it was $60-70 but that etailer was high on shipping. Normally, its like $30-40 every where else.

 

If the KO company is monitoring this forum, fix the towers on the back too. If at possible, would be nice if you could get both towers to sit back, instead of forced to keep one up and one down.

I know its a stretch to ask.

holy hell... fk yeah!!! I always loved this mold, he was just too small. /prays for an OS Utopia and Pandinus. Even if it's by Maketoys and not a KO.

 

Very true but the Chinese sellers just wrap it in that thin paper or bubble wrap it to death any way, where my two Devy's were in a solid thick box with packing material.

So long as they don't use that thick styrofoam, which lead to OS E. Primes getting broken, I can't imagine it would be overly expensive. In the end, your getting a larger Metro for $200 (Guessing with ship) vs $400 smaller official Metro.

 

What if it's all a conspiracy. That all of these Maketoys KOs are in fact from Maketoys themselves. Just trying to squeeze every last dollar out of their products. Maketoys couldn't possibly admit the overhead is not as high as their price suggests but they know they can sell high to those wanting a brand and then sell off the rest to the discount shopper

 

It's oversized so probably not MT selling off their remaining stock.
