I sent an email update to first run orders two weeks ago. The first run batch is planned to go out in a couple days. Just working on something for you guys, based on feedback from the email. :D

If you've never had the pleasure of owning one of Azim's high quality add on kits, you are truly missing out on something fantastic. I've never ever had any regrets or ever been disappointed.

Agreed. You may pay a bit for them but you have to remember he is 1 guy doing this and the quality is fantastic. His hydra head and guns upgrade kit turned my custom from "meh" to "i wish i had 2 of these" now i have a killer masterforce hydra figure witbout spending hundreds of dollars.

Exactly. Azim puts a lot of work into these things... And the quality is great. In fact, the only issue I had was that my Blaster rifle from way back when seems to have melted. I was putting away some figures and found his gun kinda... droopy and twisted.

Everything else since then has been perfect.

When it comes to price vs. what you get, that's a call each person has to make. I'd certainly own many more Renderform toys if the price was lower, and most of his toys I got on clearance because I can't afford his prices, but every toy I got my hands on has been excellent, so if it's worth it to you, he makes great product.

And don't forget the $16 reprolabel sticker set! :lol

Yeah, I don't mind when people state their opinion about my items being over priced for them. If I threw the designs up on Shapeways, I bet they would not care either, even if it was a bit cheaper for them. After experimenting with the Tailgate hoverboard, which people at TFCon told me was too expensive, I offered it up on Shapeways as well. I only sold like 3 sets of them off Shapeways, and had no markup added. Compared to the "overpriced" Renderform version, which I sold over 300 copies, each hand made.

As a independent designer, putting up my designs on Shapeways, and letting them do the manufacturing is like 1000X less work for me. Once the CAD model is done, I don't have to do any extra work, except get a test print made and check it. To make the Renderform customs, the extra work required, along with costs, is much more, along with the time needed. And on and on, I keep seeing my pricing structure, I've had in place since 2010, makes my products a better deal than Shapeways/3D printed. I don't want to single another designer out, but I feel its good for comparison, to show how much of a savings my product would be... Fellow TFW2005 member Burrociano started up his own Shapeways store, and has made his own CW Stunticon guns. I recall someone in his WIP thread pointing out that they felt my versions were over priced. Well, before shipping, you would be paying shapeways $42.52 with their cheapest material. My Renderform version for all 5 guns cost $45.00 before shipping. And then factor in the difference in quality, and one version does feel over priced, lol.

Anyways, did not mean this to become any sort of rant or anything. Just my thoughts for everyone, if you buy my stuff and support me or don't. :)

Will the Thunderclash head come in pieces, or is it already glued together like the toy's original head?

You may want to remove the head ahead of time. I reprolabeled and removed mine and the head is a pain in the ass to remove. If the body is all prepared, you can enjoy Thunderclash that much sooner.

My body is ready. Well, the body of my BCOP is ready. Reprolabels was kind enough to send me a gift certificate for past business which I used for this set. It will be nice to have a proper THUNDERCLASH to join my MTMTE shelf. Fantastic job to all parties involved. The sticker set looks amazing and Venksta's work is consistently stellar.

Wow, I like this. This may be even neater than the kit to turn him into Nova Prime. Actually, it is neater. With the Reprolabels set, this feels like a BotCon/Club exclusive toy...and hey, if that's the case, even with the extra cost, it's a hell of a lot less than one of those toys :p

And now that I've stabbed my thumb with my tiny screwdriver getting the old head off, I'm ready for my Renderform Thunderstruck head to get here! (like a kid staring vacantly and dreamily off in the distance out the window)

I am pretty blasted pumped for this. My custom is all painted and labeled and ready to go. I've been checking my email a lot.

I almost bought a used G1 Thunderclash trailer either to repaint and fill in for the lack of trailer, or to cannibalize the cannons and add them to my custom's arms.
