    EDITED:

    Final version available here: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/lostshop

Hi to all, i'm new to the forum but i read it very often.

I'm a fan of Soundwave and all Decepticon cassettes so
in these days i decided to trying to create a custom cassette for Soundwave.

This cassette turns to an F22 and because i like also Starcream a lot i used his colors...

I designed it in 3D and tested in program transfomation , now that it should work i'll try to print with a 3D printer from one of the online service, if it works as it should i'll add some datails and then print again.

Here you can see a picture and a preview of the transformation process.

Let me know what you think!

I don't know man, looks like its ready to be assembled! Could be cool to add some little circle indentions in the wings to attach a little black missile on each one if you wanted to find something to add to it.

That looks really rad. I am a sucker for Soundwave's cassette minions.

Years ago I picked up an original Ratbat design on Shapeways, and although it needed some work to get tolerances working it ended up being a pretty cool little piece. (this was way before the MP one) And I'm always impressed when people make things like this.

Looks like you need to make some test prints!

I love your concept and your dedication.
Give him a laser or something and I'm in (can't drop tiny lil bombs).

    Pretty awesome!

I was always a bit disapointed with MP Ravage, especailly as MP Soundwave+Laserbeak are damned perfect. I wonder if anyone 3p will ever have their own go at him.

    Very cool concept!

As a few suggestions, try to make it look like it belongs with the original MP line. I would focus on having one side look like it's the front of the standard MP cassettes with plain, painted labeling to point outwards in the cassette deck and the jet mode to try and remove any of that. (Example: The MC 60 portion would appear on the bottom of the jet, not on top of it) That of course might involve some parts to twist and flip around.

Great job. Wish you were working on a better Ramhorn and Steeljaw for KFC Transistor.

This is a great idea and I love that it looks more in line as a G1 imagined piece.

Welcome, prototype looks great. Agree with some that I would add a hole on the back side of both wings not all the way threw to add weapons or bombs on the wings. This will add fun and detailing to your jet.
You can try to make one by hand with sheets of styrene, but since you do have it in a program you could get it 3-D printed also and would be much easier .
Keep it up and glad your out there with the passion for the Transformers cassettes as many are.

I have always wanted Whril and Roadbuster made into cassettes.
I mean a Helicopter and a heavy military Jeep into cassettes would be sick and the first for tapes.

Hi to all, today my order arrived and even if the pieces are very well made i noticed that the 1mm holes for the inges are not well realized and i cannot insert any metal pins inside...

So in the next days i'll try to make them manually but seems impossible, the next step is maybe to print in a more detailed material but it will cost me much more :(

Below some picture of my pieces
