Yep. Diecast cab. So I got mine from Rub the other day. Great figure. Love it. First thing I did was lose the tiny brown bullet/cigar in my brown carpet. Anyone have a suggestion on how to get a replacement?
Just to make sure, we're still talking about that MP-leader-like version of Hound with the transforming tires as feet, correct?
Can someone please tell me where to get this guy , are there any sellers I can trust on Ebay ?or something
Picked this up from rubadub, and it's amazing. Comparing this guy to the original AoE figure is like night and day. Legality aside, he's effectively a major retool and upscale of the original mold, and all the new sculpted and painted details make him pop in a way that the original figure did not. I love all the additional accessories, even if the cigar bullets are super easy to lose (I haven't yet, knock on wood). From a pure looks perspective, he's basically a Masterpiece. Unfortunately, all those improvements don't come for free. Pretty much every major change makes the figure more fragile, and way fussier to transform. Those skinny black rods that the arm kibble hangs off of are a major weak point, and getting the back end perfectly aligned and tabbed in for truck mode is difficult, even when you know the tricks. (You have to constantly keep pushing the pelvis flat against the cab because it doesn't tab in, while also angling the thighs and legs exactly right, while ALSO managing all the tabs in the shoulders, legs, and back, while making sure that the panels overlap exactly right.) I don't mind the difficulty, but you should know going in that it's a real hassle. I still think it's worth it to have all those improvements to the sculpt in bot mode. -XCN-
The one I ordered thru Rub came today, and... I can't say I'm impressed. The cigar: I gave it a tug and determined it was in his mouth pretty solid. TF'd him to truck and back... and guess what was gone? I wonder how long this toy sat and in what temperatures? Some of these joints were very stuck, and when I finally got some of them to move there was such a loud crack I thought it broke. It didn't. A couple parts kept popping off. Some of the plastic wanted to flex, so that I never could perfectly tf him into truck mode. Maybe I need to give it a couple days to grow on me
I had to glue the cigar in. Some of the joints were tight to begin with, especially the panel that connects the arm to the body, but after a few transformations it works properly.
I have a question, does the 2.0 version's weapons have the standard 5mm peg size? Or are they a tad bit bigger/wider?
Little dogger got at this specific pistol after I neglectfully left it in the couch after a transformation sesh. Any kind souls out there have a dud 1st copy or access to this gun and want to part with it? I've already contacted the seller from aliexpress, who helpfully let me know that it is hard to procure replacement bits from WJ, to which I can understand. I know it's a long shot, but still worth a shot! Thanks!
I received this figure with the same broken bars that go across the shoulders. I've tried contacting Wei Jiang but they never got back to me. Does anyone know how I can get in touch with someone from their company so I can get replacement parts?
Late to the party picking this guy up and I have a few questions for those who already own him. 1. He only came with one cigar in the baggie with the grenades. Should he have come with a second already in his mouth? Is there a way to get a replacement? 2. The black bars on his shoulders are very glossy and have no paint apps at all. All the videos and images i have seen show the bullets and grenades on these bars painted green and the bars themselves having a matte finish. Is this a common issue? 3. What parts actually broke on the V1 version of this figure? The seller stated that this is the V2 version but I want to make sure it is before keeping him. Any help would be appriciated.
Yes he should have come with two cigars, I’d recommend messaging whoever you got him from for a replacement. And the black pieces are what broke on V1. Matte is v1, glossy is v2.
Thanks for the reply. I will contact the seller and see what he can do for me about a replacement cigar. As you can see in my photos the black bars are very glossy so I will take it that it is indeed a V2. Just to clarify, the V2 glossy black bars have no paint apps on the bullets or grenades as shown in my photos, correct?
