I was going to say "Arcee doesn't have a battle mask", but then I squinted real hard and saw the faintest mouth detail. So yeah, no battle mask, so I retract my earlier comment.  

 

Facially she fits right at home with their Windblade, who seems well loved despite her comic appearances varying greatly depending on artist. Maybe that is a part of it as I don't think we've seen a Sarah Stone take on Arcee?

 

I'm totally in on this. I love my little windblade.

 

Their Windblade was so much fun, and so aesthetically- and tactilely- appealing that I literally carried it around and played with it until the paint wore off, so I'm all in on anything else they'd like to offer. I hope they use the same matte plastic!

 

I think I'm going to stick with DX9 for my tiny Arcee fix. I'm not feeling the cutsey face and cluttered backpack here.

Agreed. I would be all over this if she didn't have that ridiculous cutesy face. Fuck, I might end up getting it anyway since the rest looks REALLY good to me but still, why do 3P companies get so much right but manage to disappoint me so often with their face sculpts? They almost always end up looking either too generically anime-ish or too much of a G1 copy for me! Shame. Especially with the fembots, it's like the guys who make this stuff can't wrap their heads around a fembot who doesn't look cutesy, or is it the fans who don't want that?

Can anyone who has their Windblade tell me if it would be easy to paint the face? I would want to make her eyes a lot smaller and meaner looking and add some panel lines to her face to obscure the cutesy-ness.

Interesting, can understand them going for a more chibi-ish IDW version. That way I can get DX-9's more G1 version too.

Windblade didn't have ankle tilt unfortunately, so I use a stand to have her in flight mode, but their Arcee does have it, and I am very excited for this to release. I wonder if the sword will be transparent like shown.

For the DX9, the backpack sits too high for my taste. If it is removable, then that would be great, otherwise, if it could be lowered for better look.

 

Missed the ankle tilt. That is nice bonus. I really like the ankle tilt on the DX9 Blurr. Definitely a point in its favor that IF could make her so small and still fit in that extra articulation.

 

It looks like she may have articulation at the torso just below the bust as well. That is something Miko desperately needed.

 

It would allow for alot of cool poses with her sword. Maybe they can make a non-anime Windblade with ankle tilt & torso twist too.

This is a surprise to me, and also a surprise that I like it so much!
I love my little Windblade, and while I never thought I'd have a need to a teeny tiny Arcee, might need this too. Will wait to see final.

This is obviously based more off of IDW Cybertronian Arcee and Milne drawings, but colors are off. Helmet, biceps, thighs and shins should be white.
