First off I wasn't for sure where this thread should be, so my apologies on that.

Next is I have all the combiners and next I'm looking into upgrading the hands and feet, but really didnt about the quality of both of these sets and would be be worth the money? I have seen a few reviews and no one likes the hands, but I wanted to get information from fellow collectors on this site and go from there.

Next is I was watching the review for the Menasor upgrade I think Felzbug and Peaugh spoke of another company making hands and feet for our CW figures and if better hands and feet are coming then I would rather wait.

Also, I see the kit for Bruticus is on pre-order and the hands and feet look so much better and didn't know if PE was going to revise the hands for future kits.

Sorry if I'm all over the place

    Thanks

I think the quality is top notch, it's just that the noodle hands look quite ridiculous.

nonnef (Nonnef Productions) is also making hands and feet that can be purchased separately, but they can't be pre-ordered at this time. I think he'll have some listed when production is complete, but you'd have to verify that with him.

Worth the money is always a hard question to answer, but I have 3 sets of hands/feet and the Menasor upgrade kit, plus the Bruticus hands/feet on pre-order and I regret nothing. I actually like the hands just fine, but I see what people are talking about.

The Nonnef sets are non-transforming - the PE sets transforming into guns is part of the reason the feet are too big and the hands are a bit skeletal - and will, for a set, be near the same price as the PE ones.

If you are planning on using the standard (red/blue) Optimus Prime as a combiner, you might consider getting the PE set for that - it has a modified version of the Menasor torso piece + a full set of hands and feet for ~$10-15 less than getting both sets individually for Menasor. It'd be the most economical way to try PE out. Plus, the feet are modified a bit from the PC-01, 02, and 05 models.

Something else to consider for the Nonnef ones is that, at this stage, they don't appear to be able to integrate with the individual figures when in bot and alt modes, as Hasbro's hand-foot-guns and PE's sets do. So you may have some unused upgrade spare parts lying around when/if you transform them (for some people, that's a problem, for others, not so much).

I ordered my PE sets at the same time as I ordered my CW figures, and simply never have them in combined mode without at least the PE feet.

IMHO, the (white) PE hands are must-haves for Superion; the standard Hasbro ones seem too big and bulky - not to mention BLACK :) p) - and in any case, I like to use the Hasbro ones for some weapons configurations (see below), or to give him extra weaponry kibble.

For Menasor, while I have used the (purple) PE hands a lot, I've come to prefer the standard Hasbro ones; they just seem to suit his persona and look a little better (where Superion I think benefits from the sleeker/skinnier PE hands, Menasor is all about big and bulky, so for me, Hasbro it is).

For Defensor, it's even money. He too has some nice weapons configurations (below again), so I probably lean more towards using PE's (black) hands - but having said that, my Defensor currently has the regular Hasbro hands attached to him!

(PS I WILL have that Bruticus set!!! :rock )

Thanks Guys! and the new PE Bruticus set hands look more like hands than noodles like everyone else is saying. also, I think the silver Bruticus set will look good on Galvatronus! just personally speaking.

PE is the best upgrades for CW; for my crew:
-Superion has white hands and feet along with chest/torso, set of black hands as thigh cannons; skipped the head though (too small)
    -Menasor has purple feet
    -Galvatronus has purple hands
    -Defensor black feet
-Ultra Prime/Optimus Maximus black feet painted royal blue

I need to Zombify and Hijack this for a second.

Does anyone know if PE hands will fit in the ports for the Rage of Hercules add on?

TFC uses 5 mm ports for everything so I don't see why not.

I love the PC-01, PC-02 and PC-05 hands and feet sets by Perfect Effect. I am excited to try out the PC-09 for Bruticus since it looks like they tweaked the hand design some (and the feet too), which based on the pictures, I prefer. I have PC-09 on preorder, and look forward to trying it our whenever TT releases their UW Bruticus set.

If Perfect Effect re-release PC-01, PC-02 and PC-05 with an updated hand design based on PC-09, I probably won't get them again since the originals really are very nice upgrade sets. Plus having some variety in my combiners is a good thing.

Edit: According to a picture on PE's FB page, they're working on some new feet types! Will be interesting to see what combinations of hands/feet come out in the coming months!
