I can't wait to see proto pics of this guy. Hopefully he'll be huge compared to the other bots I plan on putting him with, which is my TF Prime Decepticon shelf.

My guess is that even if MMC wasn't the initial company that declined to make this at Ultra-ish sizes, (and I think it's likely that they were), they're not the ones who picked this up.

Would've been neat to see him lined up with Titanika, though. Titanika's actually gone quie tas a project lately, so I do wonder a little bit at what's going on with that.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about Titanika but they showed prototype already so the mold is made and that's probably going to end up being retooled into IDW Roadbuster as well so I hope MMC just pushed it back for now.

 

I also don't think that MMC is doing it but I hope they are. If not them maybe Perfect Effect?

IIRC, they showed a 3D printed proto of her last year, not a test shot made from a mold. I'm not super concerned, since in the past they've said that any design they've commissioned Cassy Sark to do is greenlighted by default. I assume it's been backburned, especially since they have a bunch of projects that are at color test shots and nearing final production. Or maybe it's R-19.

That was my initial read of the post, too, but it is slightly ambiguous whether new means a company completely new to the 3rd party scene, or simply a company that's different from the original.

If I remember correctly, this was a design by Cassy Sark that hadn't been picked up by a manufacturer. He then posted it publicly to generate interest.

 

I'm kind of curious why MMC isn't making it. Looks like most of the engineering is Turben/Oberon, and we know how MMC likes to milk their molds.

It will never happen, but: MMC Lugnut retooled into Killmaster, both the same size as their Overlord.
