Seems like the placement of the back leg/support in altmode would just need to be adjusted to raise the angle of the cannon.

I wish both companies had a smaller breastplate on him, or one that prtruded a little less. He has to wear the matrix at stomach level on the chain.

The picture shows two type of cannons. Personally I like the translucent one better.

I'm waiting to see what X-Transbots has coming, and to see if TakTom has one in the pipeline.

 

Don't take it so seriously. I just never preferred TF's that transformed into something that either isn't based off of something in life or isn't recognizable as anything in particular. It's not a tank, doesn't even resemble a tank, it's not some kind of mobile rocket launcher nor resemble any.....no he's a random sci fi design like some kind of alien civil war cannon that in real life probably wouldn't be too efficient without rear tracks or wheels because he has a stand instead that would have to be dragged along the ground as the tracks pulled forward (looks to me)....So again, imo it's stupid, I thought that as a kid after seeing the movie and still think it today. I'd rather see him transform into a sniper rifle, a tank or something of that nature, not something that doesn't even have an identifiable name.

Now c'mon, you guys don't think a sniper rifle with silencer, mag and stand Megatron wouldn't be cool? I always thought the walter P38 with the silencer was great but obviously the whole size thing didn't add up in the cartoon.

And yeah, he doesn't resemble a tank. Why would Unicron design him as any Earth vehicle?

 

Just go back and look at all of those pics a few more times. Head to your favorite plastic crack dealer and hit buy before your strength returns. I prefer the Dojo.

He is a Starscream Destroyer. That "cannon" lost a lot of its mojo once the first shot was fired.

 

Carry was the deciding factor in my decision to order this guy. I'm so pleased with the quality on that figure that I'm confident I'll like Tyrant too. Every figure I buy made by DX9 feels better than the last. If Takara releases an official Galvatron I'll get that too, and keep the DX9 version as a companion piece to Carry, which I will also be keeping even if Takara gives us a new Rodimus Prime.

 

Dear DX9 don't pull any stupid packaging mistakes like you did with Carry. This is one of the best looking Galvatrons I have ever seen and it would be a damn shame to screw it up. No need to rush things get it done right. I want this guy proudly leading my decepticon shelf.

I'm almost tempted to get this guy. It does pass for Galvatron imo. I like the toy cannon, and the head sculpt. The feet are awful and his thighs and arms do look small. If X-Transbots hadn't announced they are doing a Galvatron. I would surely be getting this one.

 

Quick question: When this was first announced, they were quick to point out that his feet looked odd only because there was some kind of piece missing. Yet in the latest and greatest color test-shot pics, his feet look exactly the same. Is he still missing a piece? Did they give up on the piece?

I like the rest of the figure, but those feet are wonky as hell. There has to be something to cover that huge gap between the toes and ankle, right? right???

 

Love the head sculpt and colors. Would look wonderful next to my other MPs. The mentioned "problems" do sort of drag this down from a definite buy to a wait and see for me.

I've never owned any XTB, and have read a lot about their QC issues, where as I've seen a lot better reviews about QC from DX9.
