    Update 9/11/2015, robot mode prototype:

    --

Revealed on the KFC facebook page this morning. Dumpyard is an homage to Junkyard, a background Junkion in the 1986 movie and a couple episodes of season 3. You may notice he fought Arcee, helped rebuild Ultra Magnus, sold some parts to Octane in "Starscream's Ghost", was hypnotized by the broadcasts of the Quintessons in "The Big Broadcast of 2006", he even appeared in the Victory pilot episode as the Junkion in a small town that Star Saber saved from two Decepticons.

Stands 23cm (9 inches) tall in robot mode. This makes it maybe Leader class.

Wow, that looks really great! Masterpiece scale I am assuming.

Now here is a figure we almost definitely will never get from TakaraTomy.

These are instant buys for me and if they fall apart is ok as long as you can put the parts back on. Please make some female junkions!

To which I site the holy scale charts (take a shot). where a crouching Wreck-Gar, if standing up, would be just shy of the height of Optimus Prime. Wreck-Gar is obviously much taller than an Autobot car like Arcee or Blurr.

That chart is clearly wrong... there's no way that Galvatron could fit into the cockpit on the back of that Cyclonus's torso. ;)

The absurdity of claiming G1 had any sort of 'scale' aside, at 9 inches, that toy only makes sense for folks troop building MP toys. That's expensive, not just for the figures, but for the real estate required to shelve them. As a result, the market for MP scale planet of junk diorama builders is likely to be narrow, which means fewer sales, which means smaller runs, which means the price per figure increases, which further narrows the market.

    Thus, crazytown banana-pants.

Huh, this is the third KFC Junkion thread in a row I've looked in and none of them impresses me the way their Wreck-Gar does. The thing they all have in common is ditching the chunky/boxy, home-made proportions characteristic of the Junkions in favour of tall, slender, similar heroic looking cool guys.

I don't think these are quite accurate enough to indulge in (unfortunately), with all the other cool stuff coming out.

I see your point but I think many TFS took liberties to look more 'heroic' or humanoid to speak. I think they look really good and will look even better as a set. Hopefully the price is reasonable.
