PC-08 Perfect Combiner Upgrade Kit for Optimus Prime

Looks good to me. Putting this on the Masquarade combiner. Now I just need someone to make a Jazz, Windcharger and Sideswipe limb.

 

I love how that looks.

 

I'm interested in this if they do this for the white Optimus Prime.

 

I love they redesigned the feet and hands to be more optimus style, definitely bought.

That means I will have the original two hand/feet sets on menasor/defensor, nonnef on superion, and this on prime, which will keep them all pretty differentiated as a whole.

 

No pics yet of the breastplate mentioned in the title? I assume this is based off their Menasor kit?
I agree nice work on the prime feet, they could have cheeped out and just made the big sneakers in blue... But they did not!

 

I really like the retooling on the feet and new hands more Optimus-y look, I was wondering if PE would do a set for Ultra Prime/Optimus Maximus.
I've been on the fence for a while about getting Ultra Prime/Optimus Maximus but this set might just sway me on that.

 

I've not bought any of the PE Combiner Wars upgrade sets but do like the look of this.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the "breastplate" is actually the crotch plate/back filler piece. Only reason I say this is that the menasor set also lists a breastplate but doesn't list the crotch plate or back filler piece which is shared by this set

 

Let's compare, the CW optimus Prime in torso mode:

It's a new crotch plate all right.

 

If they wanted to get REALLY cool, they should have have the feet turn into Roller. Cobine them back to back... little wheels...

 

On the menasor set it also wraps around to fill in the back. I think it's purpose is to lock the upper legs in place so that optimus' lower legs become the combiners upper legs. Hopefully it helps with stability

The thing is, this set, like the Menasor set, causes a permanent spread leg pose, i don't happen to like that wide legged stance. No way that ive seen you can get a more natural stance with these sets.

 

The hands look way better than the ones they released before

 

I do hope they'll make a set for Battle Core Optimus eventually since I'm planning on getting that version of the mold instead of the regular CW Optimus.
