i succumbed and purchased sunsurge. I thought Spinout will be good too, but from what i read in the reviews, Sunsurge appears to be the best out of all of them.

I prefer the overall look of Spinout's Lambo mode, and find his back much cleaner looking than Sunsurge's. I don't care for Sunsurge's fake chest cheat, nor do I like the tail litghts. That said, I DO like Sunsurge's robot proportions better. I like the slim athletic look to him better than Spinout's slightly stalky look. The overall package Sunsurge offers seems like the better option to me. Plus, he's already in production. Solid design. Preordered. Now the wait begins...

If that thing actually does make it out I may still get one but that thread is full on delusional at present with the "This is my Sunstreaker" crowd basing that on a mangled test shot, a lot of wish Fulfillment and pronouncing Sunsurge a "stickbot," as if that made any sense as an insult anyway.

You can express a preference, like one product over another and "have faith" as much as you like but the facts are Badcube came through and made theirs and Omni.........didn't.

As if that couldn't have been predicted after it got to a year without product. See also TnR Hova too.

nah u rolled in when it was at nuclear holocaust levels of butthurt and lit a cigarette. I was about to do the same last night and then I just had a good lol at all the posts, closed my browser, and went and looked at how awesome surge looks in my collection.

All i asked was about the non toon tail lights and a bomb went off. Was Sunstreaker's original toy tail lights modified too? I cant remember

 

It didn't really have tail lights, unless you imagine real hard I guess.

I went over there and cleaned it up a bit. People shouldn't feel like they're being booted from threads by other members (as long as they themselves are being respectful). Not saying you weren't.

Okay after seeing that g1 toy rear end i can clearly see why omni decided to go with the better looking real world tail light assembly. But it wasnt based off of toon or toy

 

Exactly. Which in reality is omni taking a liberty by making it look realistic instead of toon or toy. It's the same as MT anime'ing up their MP headsculpts. Cool if you like it but not really accurate to anything.

I love my Sunsurge but I still want to see how Spinout turns out. At least they got something cooking unlike TnR Hova who dick teased the shit outta me then vanished.

 

There's respectful against other members (which is a must), then there's respectful for plastic figures, I've had my posts "cleaned" for talking shit about the aesthetics of a plastic toy, that is going way overboard IMO. If people actually get offended by others not liking and talking shit about their liked toy, that's just sad.
