Very possible. Wardog's bubble art tease started on 22 Dec 2014. Released less than six months later.

 

Yeah, BadCube has been pretty great at releasing things in a timely manner ever since their reboot. It's really impressive, and I applaud them for keeping such a tight schedule with the preorder dates provided to retailers (barring a small delay for Brawny because the printers messed up some instructions, IIRC) with consistent quality. That's why they're one of my favorites! Meanwhile, Omnigonix originally had a release of December '14 or January '15 for Spinout.

 

Uh, I realise it is totally premature to say but if Badcube are doing a Sunstreaker I will go with theirs. Their toys so far are all fantastic so I have complete faith in them to deliver.

I do like Omnigonix's one but will go for whoever delivers quicker.

 

Hmmm, intriguing... I'm not sure why yellow shoes = Sunstreaker, but if it does I'll be interested to see how they handle a carbot. Bit of a shame if they move away from minibots though cos I really like Huff, Brawny and Warpath and was hoping they'd do Cosmos, Seaspray etc.

Omni had some issues I wasn't happy with so a bit of choice there won't go amiss. Unless of course... what are the chances that Omni couldn't get into production and sold the design to BC?

 

I was hoping this was Hubcap, but I would be interested to see their take on Sunstreaker. I really hope TakaraTomy is able to do him at some point, though.

 

Yellow sneakers perhaps, yellow as in the sun, sneaker rhymes with streaker. Clutching at straws maybe  

 

The reason Sunstreaker is being theorized is because BadCube quoted a caption along with the image that randomly had two letter "S"es capitalized, as well as the word hot being mentioned. That along with the color of the shoes is what is making people think Sunstreaker.

 

I guess... Just don't get the whole 'making kicks from now on' stuff  

 

Exactly! Maybe there is a small chance this is going to be SeaSpray ... but my collection is desperately in need of a Sunstreaker so this ain't a bad choice either I have to admit.

Oh noes, I hope Badcube stay with the minibots. I have high hopes of completing the 84-85 minibot sets with them. I like their unique aesthetic and it suits minibots.
Please don't jump on the exact same gravy train as everyone else, namely more damn Autobot cars  

 

Maybe they had plans to do some Autobot cars after the Minibots and had SunSneaker ready to go next, but they had to hurry up now before someone else (Omni) gets theyr stuff out.
If this is true, and the BC version looks as good as Omni's version, I predict the end of Omnigonix before they even started. I'm pretty sure most preorders will be canceled in this case.

 

Ideally I would have liked Gears or Cliffjumper to have been next but if this is Sunstreaker that'll be fine with me....Omnigonix don't seem to be going anywhere with Spinout and I'm unconvinced that Takara will ever bother.

I think Spinout's foot transformation looks very impressive and getting the alt mode in perfect scale with MP Sideswipe was also impressive but some of the other choices such as the redesigned side windows and lack of chrome are off putting.

Now that FT have added diecast and rubber tyres to the carbot mix I'm wondering whether Badcube will follow suit.

One thing I don't expect is a narrower chest as that's something where the animation cheated so it'd be impossible to do without changing the alt mode proportions.

 

Well I'm glad they are doing Sunstreaker. I'm not mad at all that they moved from the minibots at all. Imo Sunstreaker is more wanted or is more of a desired character. Except maybe for Cliffjumper.

I don't feel bad for Ominigonix not one bit. They had plenty of time to finish Spinout and they failed. That's their fault. I know many had hopes and still on board with them. Just because ominigonix comes in every 3 month's or so. Only to say that the figure is not cancelled, and lead people on with no "real" updates like Test shots, packaging or test shot reviews. Frankly it's funny to me that the designer said he was working on the next project already, when your first has not yet been released? Ominigonix lost out imo.

I think this is a very good idea to give us a Sunstreaker. I also hope he has rubber wheel's. The plastic one's from Takara Suck! Mine never roll right. Badcube impressed me with Wardog as far as playability, design, and qc and Brawny, Outback, we're both pretty good for me. So they have a good track record with me. So even if Spinout happened? I'm going with badcube. I hope that after this they go after Runamuck and Runabout if they go back to minibots after Sunstreaker.

 

How about having the roof collapes inward? Im sure badcube can figure something out. I gotta say i wish they did powerglide, after seeing the mass shift on wardog i was seeing a nice ultra sized a10 coming out of a minibot in my mind. Hey badcube are ya listening?

 

I would be down for a Cliffjumper. As I said before I would be happy if badcube did him. And also Runamuck and Runabout. I just sold my Collectors club Runamuck and Runabout and I hate to see them go. But they didn't fit in well with my MP collection. The head sculpt on them was pretty good and I liked it very much. I hope some day after it's all said and done, Ft does all the autobot cars with rubber wheel's.

 

I was thinking this myself, and given the difficulties surrounding Omni's effort, this is highly likely.

 

Yes I agree that would be so cool if they did Powerglide and did the mass shift to him like Wardog. My 11 year old son was also amazed how in tank mode he was big, then in bot mode can pass for a minibot. I think badcube, like Ft are getting better with their design and atheistic. Badcube Insecticons look good, but they look a little off and a bit kiddy. Maybe in hand they will look better? But overall I think they are moving in the right direction. Sunstreaker is a very need character in my book. I bet, when badcube shows us Sunstreaker. We're gonna be very impressed and amazed. That's just my gut feeling.

 

This crossed my mind to. And it could be possible, but i doubt it. We will see shortly. I just want and will be glad to have Sunstreaker either way. I never really had any major complaints as far as how Spinout looked design wise or atheistic. My problem with ominigonix was they just took to long and my though was they just were not gonna be able to release him.

 

Anything is better than a KFC / Omni product.
