I wonder if this is a bit late to the game.

This would have been a great thing 2 years ago when the sets were reissued. I don't know if I could justify spending more on this Bruticus. Sooner or later Maketoys or someone good are going to do a Bruticus and this guy will retire.

Looks nice, but as others have said, a few years too late.

I like the Brawl improvements and implementation. Everything else is a bit meh at the moment but keep the info coming.

Brawl always bugged me so great and the combined mode looks freaking awesome!

I think I'm the last remaining potential customer for this, lol. I wonder how it looks without the chest piece...

Ooooh. I like it. And it all has places to stow, should I want to take it out of combiner mode. (who we kidding, that bruticus doesn't leave combiner mode). Interesting that the specifically planned for something else fansproject released...spinoff group of theirs? That's Intimdator, Revolver Core, and now the Swindle/Blastoff pair.

No kidding. I would have been interested if it weren't for Combiner Wars. And those Energon toys were already pretty dated.

I'd be in even if it was for only the new knees and ankles!

I'm very intrigued with Brawl's add-ons as well. Looks like there is a lot going on there. New alt mode, new arms and no more duck feet.

The chest piece and waist armor, not so sure...

Ankle tilts! Knee articulation! I am SO sold on this set!

I wish they'd done just a bit more with Brawl. It looks like they're going with the movie version rather than G1.

I am so, SO excited for this set!

Hmm. This is interesting, I'll keep an eye on this. Depending on price and final colors I may be interested.

When I got the Colossus stuff I was super happy with it, and I'm still happy with parts of it. Munitioner and Explorer themselves were excellent stand-alone figures. The weapons were very impressive, and the ability of the addon pieces to turn Energon Barricade into G1 (sort of) Onslaught were, at the time, really impressive.

However, while all the additional pieces integrated well in all the bots' vehicle modes, the additional kit Barricade was meant to carry just... hung off him and ruined his ability to hold anything more than a standing pose. The back-cannons were simply too large to be used as an arm weapon, and the feet/missile launchers never plugged in very securely for me--well, not enough to let his arms actually move.

This kit seems to take that problem and make it worse. I'm all for improving Fansproject's Colossus set, but what I really want to see is Fansprojects making their own version of Onslaught (Not-slaught?), with a proper head, and better integration of the feet and other pieces. I'd pick that up without a second thought... and pray it wasn't over-engineered like Diesel was. I do like Diesel, but there's no denying he's more complicated than he ever needed to be.

Still, I think I (and others) are far more likely to see what Hasbro-Takara pulls out of their hat in regards to Bruticus. I'm calling it right now--Rook's mold will be recolored to look like Swindle, since Rook is already basically a Stryker.

This is so bought. The only that would make this perfect would be new heads for Brawl, Vortex and Onslaught.

The only thing that has me interested in this set is the knee extensions.

Brawl parts look worse in bot mode than the Bennington Bots parts and modding Heavytread. Other modes look good.

So... this DOES have forward/back ankle pivot, yes? Because that's been my main gripe for a while.
