Just got the email saying TFSource got Partial Stock!! Also saying I can ship them out now! But when I go to my account it will not let me ship them out! Dx  

 

Your lucky, I preordered mine and didn't even get that.

 

I put in a preorder as soon as they said they would have some lol.

This was an amazing price and I didn't want to end up paying way over like I did with Diaclone Columpio...

 

How is TFSource's customer support? I sent them two emails, 5 business days apart (not regarding these) and they haven't replied to me at all. I thought I heard somewhere they have really good customer support.

Was going to contact them regarding these since I did get an email that they got a partial shipment and that I can get them now and it doesnt show on my account that I can ship him out.

 

I use them regularly and it has been hit or miss more recently (last 8 months). When they hit its great though they may take a while to respond, and when they miss you usually just don't hear from them (only happen once or twice for me).
I feel like their business is increasing and customer support time to attending to issues has extended.

 

I grabbed it a day or two after you so i guess I'm out of luck for now.

So after two unanswered emails and another that was no help whatsoever, I called them during lunch yesterday. So it turns out they had a website issue and it wasn't showing that it was in stock for those preordered before certain date.

They fixed that I was able to see that I can now check out except for some reason my card wasn't going through so I then had them send me an invoice through PayPal and paid them.

I thought all is well and good until I get another invoice from them last night saying I need to pay for them...T^T...

Hopefully they are there today and I can get this fixed before Monday so they can ship him out ASAP.

 

Did they tell you what the date was to get in on the first batch of pre orders?

 

I over heard someone fixing it in the background and I think he said the 19th. Which was the first day they went up.

Actually now that I think about I ordered on Friday the 19th......but I still didn't get a notification.

 

I doubled checked when I ordered mine and I ordered it on the 18th. They actually sent out a promotional email saying that Orion and Megs on the 18th at 9pm that they where available for preorder.

I put in my order at 9:30.

I just got these in the mail today--I've been watching Hegemon and Orion reviews for... well, years now with lust in my heart.

Ok it's a LAVENDER gun. Really? I seriously don't remember ever seeing a lavender laser rifle/ion cannon in the old Marvel comics. That's the source material right? He sure doesn't have a lavender cannon in the IDW--

Ahem. I'm getting off topic.

These things are a blast. Orion especially, but I was really pleased with Hegemon. There are a million reviews on the originals already so I'll say this: There's something oddly pleasing about the grey color of Hegemon. I know Megatron's supposed to be gunmetal or silver, sure, but... that faded color just feels super nostalgic for some reason. Like it's the color my old Nintendo cartridge manuals turned after leaving them in the sun all summer. One odd thing is the head--the dark color on the helmet matches the legs (and hands) but the face is silver. A silver found no where else on either of these figures. It strikes me as a bit strange. As for the fusion cannon, the dark purple doesn't bug me nearly as much as Orion's lavender armament.

On the other side... apart from my whining about the gun, Orion just POPS. Hegemon is dark and has that oddly-aged quality to his colors, but Orion is clean and wonderful by contrast. He does use the faded grey (it's really more of a very grey-tan) for a few little details, like the rims on his wheels and a few joint pieces. The red is interesting... it's a touch desaturated (read: not the brightest red) and if I had to guess, there's just a DROP of blue in it; not enough to make it look anything like purple, but color-gurus will probably know what I mean.

But the blue... the blue on his legs...

It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It's jut slightly green, almost cyan. It's deep, saturated nicely, and it makes me feel alive. The windshields also approximate the same color and it really does look like something from a four-color comic book.

If I could change anything (and if someone made an addon kit with these changes, I'd buy it) it would be: change the colors on Hegemon's head, and (surprise) change the colors on Orion's gun. If I could get a Hegemon head with a helmet that matched that tan-grey color, that would be perfect, but just having the silver face colored differently would make me happy. As for Orion's gun--I feel like I should be able to find a big Optimus Prime-style gun with a 5 mm peg really easily, but so far I haven't had a lot of luck. I might try sticking a G1 Optimus gun in there to see how it looks, but I'm guessing that'll be tiny. Hasbro's Orion Pax rifle is similarly just a pistol in Orion's hands.

 

I too just received mine and I'm very happy as well. I agree on the Lavender OP gun but I have a replacement one I was using for my Classics Prime that will work. The black head on Megs is OK by me, but if a grey one came out I'd bite. The Blue Axe bothers me the most though.

My main issues with this set is that you don't get all of the accessories that the original had. You don't get Megs full gun parts.

All in all I'm happy with the over all price and package, especially the box and extra trading cards, very nice tough...just sucks on the accessories but I finally own them at a decent price.
