Face needs to be a little boxier, and I wonder if there will be a piece to close off the cockpit in car mode.

 

Looks almost perfect to me - if only someone made a windshield that a potential driver might actually look through to see the road!

Both with this and the SXS take, the window is useless unless you want to navigate by the stars.

For me, MP cries for somewhat realistic-ish (even if sci-fied) altmodes.

 

The head just doesn't work as Blurr, The body is okay, but Blurr was more streamlined in car mode.

 

Very happy to see Blurr on the MP scene. This looks pretty good so far. Like others, I'd like to see the head retooled. If the color/details look good and it's a fair price, I'm probably in.

 

Agree the chest need to stick out more. Too flat in bot mode and in alt mode serves no purpose as a windshield

 

If it was a deluxe size It'd be bought...not really feeling the need for a Masterpiece sized Blurr (I tend to keep my Masterpiece collection only to pieces that were released in Diaclone or Microchange)

 

please be MP size... my TFTM / season 3 shelf want you so bad!!!!

That windshield should be clear, aside from some of the gripes listed above. It's almost there, though, but pass

 

Looks like the core is there, but the small details are off. The center of the chest should be raised up a little so it's not just an almost-flat plane, the face should be a little bit larger since the helmet is overtaking it now, the helmet is a tad bit too rounded off at the bottom, and the lower legs could stand to be a bit more curvy, as that was a major aesthetic theme for the season 3 bots.

However, I love the vehicle mode, especially the cockpit section. I also enjoy the fact that the front section of his vehicle mode is integrated- usually that section is an extra piece whenever someone tries to make his classic vehicle mode on a larger scale.

 

Outside of the head it looks brilliant.

When I see robot designs like this I genuinely get confused, particularly when the designers call them masterpiece. Have they not seen the cartoon!? As a homage it's okay, as masterpiece this figure is soo off, it's quite ridiculous!

The face is off, the shape of the helmet is off, the chest is too flat, the legs are way too skinny, hangwire looks awful, the silhouette of the character is just wrong and last but not least the crotch piece is so exaggerated, it looks wrong. The alt-mode is passable at best! No, just ,no is all I have to say about this figure!! What a disasterpiece!

 

Yeah kinda disappointing... I'm sure colour will help, but I feel it lacks those Floro Dery curves in both modes and thus comes across a bit stiff. Head isn't very accurate either. Also, size is a factor here, need to see how big he is.

 

With Transistor on the shelf and Reflector on the way, an MP would be just the ticket. Not sure how taken I am with this with what we've seen thus far, but will certainly keep an eye on it. As someone else said, hope this is 'proper' MP scale and not the in-between height they used for Octane.

 

• The panels on the back of the forearms should collapse from the wrist, not hang off near the elbow.
  
• As others have said, the chest is too flat. The windshield overall should be bigger, and cover the cockpit. Otherwise it is pointless.
  
• The helmet is off.
  
• The long crotch is a bit absurd.

I do like the legs, back and upper arms, though.

I like it, and as usual, people are nitpicking the living shit out of it. I shouldn't be surprised at this point, but the insta-gripe still amazes me. It's like some people have pre-written complaints they just quickly paste in the minute a figure is revealed.

It's not perfectly G1 accurate, but I like the liberties they took with the head. The forearm panels hanging off the elbows is very G1, so I'm not even sure why that complaint exists. The open cockpit isn't the way I'd have gone (he's not a convertable!), but that won't stop me from picking this up. He'll live in bot mode anyway. Thrilled to have another 3P '86 character to go along with Naked Magnus, Carry, and Ollie.

People are assuming this is MP scale, but has that actually been confirmed or is it just conclusion-jumping?

 

This is so strange. You would think they would have released some teasers while Overlocking was coming out to build up some competition and perhaps steal sales. Oh well, at least there is another option

 

This looks way more G1 than SXS's Overclocking, which I know took its inspiration from IDW Blurr, but somehow, I like Overclocking more... Maybe I have just been brainwashed by the modern ascetic.

 

I hope this is Mp scaled. If so I will buy.

Classic scale I will easily pass.

I want a g1 Masterpiece Blurr. Bring it.
