The official Apollyon thread has a lot of great advice about the best way to do the transformation and also for fixes for some of the problems. Unfortunately, those great posts with advice are getting lost in all the shipping updates and complaints etc.

So how about we use this thread to allow people to have a place to come and see the advice and fixes without having to wade through all the pages of other stuff in the other thread? I'll start with a few.

    1. Here is a video I posted that will help to remove the orange plug from the silencer for most of you. I forgot to log out of my wifes account so it's not in the HoosierDaddy account, lol but it still gets the job done.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmPw7QTfKQw

    2. The plug in the barrel can be easily removed with pliers.

    3. If you are having a hard time getting the thighs to tab in, make sure all three tabs are out. One tab on each side folds in. If it isn't pulled out you will only be tabbing in to 2 tabs and it won't hold as well.

    4. Trouble getting the legs to collapse and extend? Make sure the feet are pulled out all the way and that nothing is tabbed in before doing so. Otherwise the legs don't want to collapse.

    5. Instead of putting on the new ball joints for his shoulders right off the bat, try using Future floor polish or acrylic nail polish on the ball joints first. this method has worked for almost all who's tried it and then you can save the new ball joints for the future if needed.

I'll leave it there for now and let others chime in with some advice. Hope this thread ends up helping people out. I love my Apollyon and X-Transbots gets a huge thumbs up from me. Can't wait for their Homage to Scourge and Cyclonus.

what i really want is for someone from shapeways to make a new connector/part for his fusion cannon so it sits flat and solid on the side of his arm and not all bouncy like it is now

Here's some things I learned from my first time transforming Megatron. Mostly things that weren't very clear on the instructions.
    1) When combining his arms to form the back of the gun. The shoulder joints are L shaped and the thin metal bar connecting to the body, needs to sit in the groove of the L before folding together properly.
2)Those red buttons on the side of the torso needs to be press hard and continued being pressed as it collapses the chest. Be vary aware of where the little tab on the thin plastic at the top of the abs as you do this. Mine had barely enough clearance. If you forget it risk catching the tab and breaking it.
3)When you fully extend/collapse either the legs or feet. You can see the tabs that slide on the inner calf. Both the foot tab and the leg tab should be all the way down before it will transform properly into the grip of the gun.

Okay, this is what I came up with. There is flash in some areas. This part will take an exacto knife or at least a razor blade. The arrows point to the areas with flash. The plastic is soft here so it's easy to trim down.

This is before I removed the flash with an exacto knife

This is how it sits after trimming. I think it's much better.

in the last picture that's how mine sits already , i think it needs one solid piece to replace that part for the cannon to clip into

Mine was way worse and the trimming helped get it to that point. :(

Does anyone else have a loose hip rivet?

Just noticed that on mine; as a result one of the balljoint ratchets is loose and is getting chewed up.

Anyone have any fixes for the elbow? I've seen in pictures that the false piston can move & remove the obvious gap when the arm is bent.

However, mine is currently too tight & I'm too tired after work to even consider trying to figure out how to get it loosened up. It might be just a matter of loosening the screw, but I'm not certain.

At any rate, I'd love to hear if anyone has any fixes for this.

:)  I just hope some of of those guys chime in to help people here with some fixes. I'll try my best to add more as I can but, this thread will only be successful if everybody takes part and makes it a valuable resource.

just loosen the screw on the inside of the elbow, what i done with mine :)  but you have to move it to cover the gap yourself as wont move with the arm , and it will only go so far

Here is a few fixes I have found on my own figure, and seen others post.

Barrel being loose: If you take a small screw driver and place it into the rivet, take a hammer and tap it a few times and it will tighten the barrel up nicely. Make sure there is something to support the flat part of the rivet. Anything to keep you from knocking it out more. You want to push them tighter, not hammer the rivet out.

Legs not wanting to collapse or retract: Make sure all tabs from the black kibble are not plugged in. Also, make sure you push the leg release for it to collapse. (Some missed this part)

Ball Joint replacement is too tight: Just sand down the Ball joint itself a little. Test fit it. If it is still tight, sand the joint a little more, until it fits nicely and moves but is still tight.

Head/Helmet getting scratched: Make sure when you transform him, you turn the head backwards. If it is faces to the front it will scratch and also make the chest harder to collapse.

Chest not collapsing: Same thing. Head backwards. But also make sure you keep the red side pieces pushed in while collapsing the chest down. Also, make sure the arm swivel is not in the way. And an issue I found, the back piece that allows the metal to move for the arms must be lined up just right, or it will catch and either break or keep the chest from collapsing correctly.

Legs not fully collapsing down fully: This one you just got to make sure the feet are completely pulled down. Also, watch the angle of the legs when going into the hip part. It should be tilted ever so slightly to collapse correctly.

False Piston on elbow doesn't move: Just loosen the screw on it ever so slightly. Will make it loose enough to move freely, but not so loose the arm flops around.

Hope these help you guys out.

    Best Regards,

See if Optimus Dime's rivet fix above will work for you. Worth a try.

There's a leg release? Where the hell is it?

Also, loose rivers can be fixed with a cheap $5 soldering iron from walmart. Heat that puppy up and use it to heat up and gently push the rivet back in.

Oh, those. I knew about those. They're just spring loaded. It helps to press them in to push the legs up, but they're not releases, and even if they were there's no way to push them down MORE once the legs are already collapsed.

I thought you meant a proper release button like the ones on mp10
