Ditto. The quality of their figures remains to be seen, but they are killing it on face sculpts.

I'm really hoping the jet mode is as sleek as possible. I'll pay insane money for a cartoon accurate jet mode. The robot haning underneith won't work for this guy. He must be done justice. As well as his height. He's gotta to be taller then MP-10. The "sleek an Awesome Cyclonus " was a pretty big boy ( taller then Galvatron ) . Do him right XTB an you will be Crowned 3rd party gods.

 

Nice head but I think a few more revisions will nail it 100%. Right now it's at 85% for me, not sure if it's the goatee or eyes.

 

Goatee? Looks more like ...a block of chin-ny render. I think that chin could indeed do with some smallerisation. The eyes could possible use a little tweaking too, but if this guy's face and head remains as is, I'd be very pleased already.

The worst that could happen is a PE Menasor upgrade tweak, where they had a so-so head before and changed it to something absolutely terrible. Please don't let that happen here.

 

So that's another must buy behind Apollyon, Andras, and Arkose? Did I get the names all right?

sorry, i meant the lack of a goatee-- sometimes he's depicted with it, sometimes he insnt. but i kind of associate all the bots recycled by unicron to have facial hair features.
it does look okay as is, its unmistakeably cyclonus, but the more i look at it, the more i see like, cyclonus's mom or something. its not quite him.
side note, good opportunity to include an IDW head too, not a lot of other differences between IDW and G1 except the head.

 

This is already one of my most anticipated figures. I want this more than the Wardog and Spinout I have preordered. Galvatron is also on the top of the list but as I mentioned in the other thread, I'm as sure as I can be that Takarka will make one by next year.

 

Agreed. Cyclonus is an absolute must-buy for me.

Oh wow, I'd totally forgotten about Cyclonus's weird little goatee plate. I'm not really sure if he needs it or not. From TFwiki it looks like he had it more often than he didn't, but I didn't remember it at all.   Any huge Cyclonus fans know more about it?

Not that it would be a complicated addition, since it looks like it was more of the 'solid metal plate' than the weird bushy bits some bots have.

Really can't wait to see more of this guy. Assuming his bot and alt modes look as good and solid as XTB's Megs and Scourge, he will be a must own.

 

Hah; didn't even miss it at first, but seeing the face with goatee makes it look even more Cyclonus-y to me. Guess that is how I remember him from the cartoon. Would be the easiest fix ever though; they could just throw in a sticker sheet with a couple of these or add a 2nd face with one extra lick of paint on the chin.
