I think it does look out of place for me.

Megatron's chest is so much smaller and he's just to skinny to fit. Megatron shouldn't just be the same height as Prime.....he should also be more bulky. Adding the feet extensions for height doesn't fix all the other problems. The figure normally has really long skinny legs....adding the bulky feet just makes him tall and lanky. Looks like he needs to hit the cybertron GYM and bulk up if he wants to hang with MP10 Prime.

Megatron looks great being bigger then Optimus Prime.....he looks awful being skinner though. Megatron has been bigger then Optimus Prime on many different platforms....don't recall him being smaller though like the add on kit.

Looking at G1 Scale charts.......Megatron's chest has always been larger.

The official release needed this set. The legs are a straight legged disaster without DX9 pieces. Now I can actually display this figure.

Thanks for the nice review Breaux Man. After viewing it, I'm now more on the fence about getting this set, whereas before, I was thinking I'd get it.

 

No prob bro...giving the people what they want...I'd buy it again for $25, not for $40

 

wowowow megs has big shoe ..ahaha aother that thats its great loking kit.. wait for the other kit ..the one example on picture below..

 

Other than putting in the hands which took some time and effort to do....I'm definitely pleased with this upgrade. Just make sure to have something to file with since the mushroom pegs on the hands are too thick to slot into the forearms.

 

I'm still not liking the legs on the X2 version for some reason. I guess I'd have to see it in person or something.

 

So, what do you honestly think of the set?

 

The only thing that I really want from that DX 9 set is that cannon extension.

 

I am overall very pleased with it. Quality is there and it improves the figure leaps and bounds.



I just wished there is a leader sized Prime to go with him (Toyworld Orion is too small). CW Megatron is very IDW inspired and putting MP10 next to him looks odd.

 

I asked a bit earlier but didn't get a response, can anyone post a picture of Megs minus the shoes? They're the only part of the kit I don't really like, and I don't really need the figure to be taller in my collection since I don't own an MP-10, so I'd like to have an idea of what he'd look like with them off, but with the rest of the parts on.

 

wow, he looks great! I gotta see what the original looked like. I took one look and flagged him originally...

 

The Only thing I would want now is someone to Make a more Idw accurate head..
