Speaking of, I finally opened my APS-01U Leader Prime, and while the paint apps are glorious, the figure itself hasn't aged well. Prime from the side looks like ass, and those arm panels all over make posing him difficult.

I've got to wonder, if Black Apple were to revisit ROTF/DOTM Prime and do his magic, how screen accurate and amazing could it look? He'd probably have to redo a lot of the back where the battery compartment is, but after his skills on evasion OP, Hound, and Megs, I think he could do the definitive transforming Leader Prime, and it gets me excited at the possibility!

I just want Wei Jiang or Kubianbao to do some high quality movie TF oversize KOs since no one is filling that market.
I'm in for all the Age of Extinction Autobot cars with this level of quality from them. At least, it's something they could be thinking about.

It's a good theory, much like watching fan4stic after fantastic 4... Just inaccurate.

You should check out the beginning process of this figure way back in the day, as the designer took a basic evasion prime and styrened the hell out of it with hinges, panels, etc... A pure work of art and love went into the project, and this figure is what we get from all that dedication.

Are those pics/vids still on the front page of this thread?

Edit: nope, not front page... Maybe Diamchoc will work his magic and drop a link for you on the creation of this beast...

So it was upgraded by Black Apple?
Pics of the creation process would be great, its a really glorious piece.
I got mine months ago and I still find myself looking at it and just thinking "WOW".

I have the original version as well, which I really liked when I got it and it is still a very good figure in many ways. But the OS version just blows it away, all the changes are so well executed and natural.

He's a centre-piece figure, just like MP-1, which doesn't scale with anything other than MP-5.

I'd be all over that. Make it happen, Wei Jang.

Just checking in, they haven't done a run of this figure in either of the AOE rust deco's yet, have they?

They kinda did, but it was three times as detailed, cost $250 and was gone within a day.

I just had my battle-damaged version delivered and I'm sitting here looking at it right now and I must say it is absolutely perfect. I would bet money that it truly is handpainted and it's insanely impressive. Of the two versions, I would say the dirty is probably superior.

I still need to transform him but everything seems to fit really really well and it just looks absolutely incredible. I am so glad I popped for this version.

If anyone is on the fence between the clean or dirty version, get the dirty version it's way cooler.

At roughly 1:24 scale, he works great with Human Alliance, Alternators, Binaltech, and any similarly-scaled Transformers (like Leader-class Ironhide).

The paint job is well worth the extra few bucks. The clean version is great, but the weathered version is phenomenal.

I've been holding out for either a movie-accurate deco or the Nemesis version, but damn if your pics aren't starting to tempt me...
