I don't disagree with you but If hot rod is More than a little bigger than a car bot and turns into a tank I'm out.

I said tank like futuristic car. Can't you read?

Yes I know. And HOT ROD's look is like that with the flames. And Hot Rods are large vehicles & it's very futuristic for that time.

Make Toys Cupola is awesome & that is a tank like futuristic car.

MP we are talking not CHUGS.

Plus in the old toy scale chart Rodimus is a larger car. So that's why TT opted to make MP-09 was taller than MP-10 & if you put him in Hot Rod mode he is only alittle bit shorter like in the toon.

If they are going for a TM HOT ROD he still should be near 9" at the least to be a MP because in the toons Hot Rod was still at UM's chest.

For that time he was. Hot ROD ran down cars bc he was a tank like Futuristic HOT ROD for the 80's. NO Hot Rods back them look like that or any I've seen. Anybody have a picture of a G1 HOT ROD alt mode life sized vehicle? Because I haven't seen any bc he is that king of stylized unique futuristic which is why I like his vehicle mode so much. Not modern day boring futuristic. You guys are kidding yourselves, LMAO!

This is what you've repeatedly said:

No mention of car. Just tank.

Hot Rod is a futuristic car. Pretty sure he's based off a concept Nissan but someone will be able to be more precise.

A HOT ROD is not a sports car especially not a tiny euro one, lol.

Here is the definition. Learn something new: Hot rod - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

HOT ROD the transformer's vehicle looks nothing like that, no cars do that's why I call it futuristic. He is tank like & he ran down all of the Stunticons singlehandedly.

^ You're really not supposed to multipost like that - just edit one post and cram it all in.

Anyways, if this is supposed to be MP scale then yeah, it really should be the height of MP-09 in Hot Rod form or at the most half a head shorter. Even as Hot Rod he was a big dude. All post '85 characters tended to be larger than the 84 - 85 guys, except new tapes, combiners, and micromasters. In the fiction anyways; the toys didn't always follow suit. Especially the Pretenders.

It's not that people can't read, it's that your grammar makes it hard for anyone to understand what you're saying. You're saying Hot Rod was a tank like hot rod car(or something like that). Instead of saying "Hot Rod was a 'tank-like' car". Or better yet, "Hot Rod was like a tank". Less is more. In addition you're implying that Hot Rod was a hot rod(the actual type of car). Whereas most think that Hot Rod was just the character name, not evocative of an actual hot rod.

Thank you for correcting that. Glad you understood. Tank-like. Hot Rod was a beast of a vehicle plowing through others, lol. My grammar is not my strong suit, but I am adamant about my points & getting MP's the way I think should be.

    Great point. I always just never bothered to know what specific vehicle Hot Rod was in the real world, lol. That's what makes him so appealing & the signature flames, (;

Well, he does have flames, external chrome pipes and an engine block that sticks out of the hood.

Those are just added parts mixed in for the moniker (Hot Rod) but he looks like a futuristic car to me. No Hot Rods look like his body style which is what makes him distinguishly exceptional.

See the name has more to do with his personality than his form to me. He is a hot headed youngster who acts first and thinks later.

    Opinions eh.

Tank-like? nothing was tank like about hotrod at all. He's suppose to be a super high end concept sci fi sports car. Tank-like is the complete opposite of what he's suppose to be. He's suppose to be sleek and slim the same as any sports car guy.

Unless you're actually talking about Rodimus Prime in which case he's still the same slender guy just taller and in alt mode has a big block that sits on top of him. Never did care for his upgraded alt mode. Always looked super dumb. Kinda hope this figure is just a really nice hot-rod only figure and is around seeker sized. He certainly shouldn't be optimus sized if they're going for actual hotrod height accuracy. Be interesting if like takara they have a size increase gimmick that works a little better but I can't fathom how they'd do that without fansproejct style armor parts.

I agree with mostly everything else you said, sci-fi & futuristic I see as basically the same thing. I mentioned him as tank-like because he was running down the stunticons in Demo derbys. He also won a collison course with Magnus & Prime when he got the RED evil virus. I was using tank-like as him being a tough vehicle which he is & he is pretty wide also but flat from the top as a vehicle, not skinny at all. Sleek, yes. He is not that much shorter than when he is Rodimus if you noticed from the toon..

Yeah he's not small like I said if they want hotrod accurate height he's gotta at least be a couple heads over most mp car doods. And if they're going full on Rodimus he needs to stand eye to eye to prime naturally.

I just wonder if they're gonna stick to one or the other or try to do what takara did. Honestly think it would be best if they picked one and made a perfect version of that.

I've wanted an MP Hot Rod for some a while (despite my hatred of Hot Rod as a character), but I want to see pics of the bot and alt modes before I even start considering it. I haven't bought any of the 3rd party MP's for one reason or another (kicking myself for not being able to afford Quakewave during any of his releases). This may be the one that breaks the streak.

Hopefully it turns out better than the TT Hot Rod/Rodimus. (Those hands were atrocious among the other problems). I think the designers got too ambitious with the materials at their disposal myself.
