Fuuuuuuuuck.

I held out on Utopia, but I may have to bite on this.

 

This has my attention. I liked Utopia, but wow those colors are nice

 

The name i had hoped for on a repaint i was considering.

Handing MT $400 then waiting two months for them to send the goods by a method that always gets me stung by customs on large boxes. Nope.

Kinda want...but gonna hold out in the hope of availability at time of release.

 

If MP wasn't my primary desire and I didn't have $660 of third party MPs preordered, I'd go for Utopia and maybe this...it isn't that I don't like the design of the Hasbro Metroplex...I think he's wonderful...I just can't stand the floppiness and I don't know if I have the patience to take him apart and fix all the joints with washers and the like.

I didn't get Utopia because, awesome as he looks, I have the Takara version of Generations Metroplex and he is all the Autobot city I thought I needed. But an evil, repainted little brother? Ugh... I might be poor if the rest of the paint is good.

 

maybe we can get a blaster repaint for a funktopia....

 

This isn't going to be an MT store exclusive is it? But between Gigapower and Fanstoys Snarl and MP Star saber there's too much expensive stuff coming out at once. I really wish that third parties would slow down or stop with all the expensive stuff. And I'm not even a big 3rd party guy.

 

im in the same boat, there was a lot I liked about utopia but already had takara metroplex and I like his size. That said Maketoys battel cruiser mode is gorgeous!


im really running out of space to display things.....

I know it's the nature of the game, but I have to say it really is super annoying to get a $400-$500 potential exclusive dropped with no warning and a week to come up with the money.

I know, I know, the pre-order window is a few weeks. But still. Sigh.

Damn it MK!!! Love that there's been some remolding done, so it's not a straight reuse completely, but like others have said I'm hoping for more differences. The color I wish were a few shades darker, but that's a personal nitpick. I just wished Pandinus came first before this, I don't want to double-dip so quickly on basically the same figure, since it was costly.

 

^this. space is going at a premium and i can literally only fit one more tolf on the wall. 2 citybots is essentially a whole detolf since you have to remove a shelf for him to fit.
and while the mold looks really good, when you take it apart you can see it wasnt assembled terribly well, particularly his chest areas on the inside.

but Im mega interested in more little figs to go with my Utopia, (ahem). much more interested in decking out my current version.
