Okay, because everything Hasbro ever does can be improved on, what do you think he needs?

Head fix to beef it out on the sides unless it's mistransformed. Larger cab for Mixmaster unless it's mistransformed. Purple hands which Takara will no doubt be providing.

Also one thing that will greatly improve Devastator is OFFICIAL PHOTOS & REVIEWS! I'm sick of all the knee jerk arm chair reviewers around here writing everything off just because its made by HASBRO. What if this was a 3rd party reveal? Would opinions be different?

 

that thing is disproportionate and clunky looking
the only thing I can think of is to just buy a 3rd party devastator  

at least, until more information comes along

 

UNtil we see something more than a mockup/prototype/whatnot I say he needs nothing.

 

I was going to call this thread a bit "too soon", but then I saw "Zone cape and accessories" and I can't be mad.  

 

Not sure it needs anything at the moment. For all we know this could be improperly transformed. Hasbro is notorious for that.

If not then it still covers all the bases for kid marketed significantly cheaper devastator.

Not my personal fav but I think hasbro did pretty good considering the restrictions they have to deal with.

 

I think it looks fine. This will definitely be added to my collection as my mp Devastator... Overall, I think it evokes G1 Devastator better than either 3p offering, which definitely go for more of the CHUG look... Again, merely my opinion. Look forward to seeing the final production version, as many times whats seen on the showroom floor and what's in the box are two different things!

 

Really just 1 change: I would add 1 maketoys giant, and subtract the Hasbro devastator. I think that would fix the whole thing.

 

New forearms and hands. But I think they store between the tracks and body of the vehicle modes. Well maybe not, looking more at the photo they might parts form.

 

I want some third party cybertronian trumpets... If not for this set then any devastator set

 

Too soon for this imo. I'd need to see a final that we are sure is 100% transformed correctly.

 

Cab, beefier lower arms, new head and something th a t would fix the upper arms: new shoulder connections so that the treads are part of the arms and not the body. That alone would fix soooo many issues.

 

I would have hoped Zone accessories would have had more support. We have never seen a single Zone upgrade set for a combiner, have we?

 

If the hands are 5mm posts like the other CW combiners, it seems like a no-brainer. Plus why not have a huge gun for our lad here? he head doesn't bother nearly as much as his gimpy polio foot, but I'm willing to bet that the away team from Hasbro forgot a transformation step.

 

If the hands are 5mm ports the Perfect Effect hands for Menasor might work. They are purple.
