"Re:master " , in a time where scale is everything.....Re:master is a new series to bring a new twist, new gimmicks, and maybe even a new scale to the world of transforming robots. An instant classic to an already bright and vibrant world of robots, we hope Re:master will have a place in everyone's hearts......and on their shelves!

    Looks like hound to me

I wonder if these are like legends scale, or what, though maketoys hasn't thrown their hat into the MP ring yet either, so color me interested in more info

Yeah, I'm thinking hound also. Gonna be hard to replace the Alternator version in my collection though.

That was my thinking as well, since they are doing citybots, and there is enough kibble in the silhouette that I'm not convinced its MP, so I dont think it would be strange if they eventually do legends scale figures to compliment their larger releases

I would much rather it was Legends scale with MT's build quality, but considering MP Hound hasn't been announced yet and MP's are currently what everyone and their mother are trying to chase......I'm not hopeful.

Anyway I'm in for pretty much anything MT are making right now, I would just rather a Utopia compatible series.

Based on the "Master" part of the subline name, I'd say they're going for Masterpiece scale. I'll be waiting for a full reveal, but so far it looks pretty nice, save for the shoulders looking a little low.

I can't say for sure, but if it is a new scale (since they said "maybe"), I'd wager it isn't something too small, simply because of the small panels on him, particularly around his feet. Those'd be super fragile at a small scale. Masterpiece scale just makes the most sense to, business-wise, since that line and style is super popular right now and seems to be working well for other companies who go with the style.

The shoulders were low in the cartoon and the G1 toy.

So would this be Maketoys tapping in to the Masterpiece market?

If so i'm immediately sold, since i've decided to gear my collecting towards MP's going forward.

Sad to see another company jumping on the MP bandwagon, but with so many collectors switching to "MP only" it was inevitable.

Looks like it - look at the hips and upper thighs, they look like the MP joints used on the Datsuns and on Invisible. Interesting.

    That's what I was wondering. :)

You don't have room in your heart for two versions of Hound?  :)
