What a ridiculous price for a reissue that doesn't have all the tapes.

Just wish I could get a Laserbeak somewhere. I got Soundblaster and Ratbat, and eventually got the other tapes, but not LB.

Hm. Since we're getting the Generations stealth bomber Megatron already, I'll have to pick between Universe Galvatron and Animated Lugnut.
... WHAT??? It's not Animated Lugnut?? Why the hell is RtS Lugnut on that list instead of Animated?? Crap. It's even what I replied to in my post as wanting, by mistake. =P

It's a price problem, not an availability problem. People sell their Hasbro and Takara Soundwaves, but they're insanely expensive. I don't want to spent $200. It looks like you can sometimes get one without tapes for $150, but that's still quite a markup compared to the original Hasbro release with all the tapes. I feel really really really stupid for passing up both Soundwave and Grimlock. It's one of those instances where my personal feelings on whether I want one shouldn't have factored into the decision to buy one. I think I just got hit with general apathy during both of those times and it blinded me. Man, I hate economics. "It's just supply and demand." but it gets downright crazy. Absolutely EVERYTHING including necessities becomes a gambling game because of money. Then you have farmers dumping milk down the drain because they have to milk the cows but they have to induce artificial scarcity or because they're subsidized to produce more than they can possibly sell or whatever. Insanity.

 

I hear you on that. I was out of collecting for the most part when Soundwave came out but I saw it around and always passed on it. In this case I'm pretty happy about it because I do think I got a better product buying the reissue than the original based on on the complaints I've read. I wish I picked up a Hasbro when it came out just because of the price and all the cassettes but I also don't like the yellow eyes even though it's an easy fix. What I ended up doing was buying KO versions of all the extra cassettes so I paid a bit more to have everything I wanted but I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Don't get me started on how fucked up our economic system is though...I could go on about it forever so I try not to start, lol.

Yeah. My spending has dropped a lot lately. But then I return with a vengeance like I'm currently in. I made too many purchases this past month.

Yeah. Happened to me recently. It gets ugly real fast. Add that to the list of taboo subjects of sex, religion, and politics.

 

Politics is so bad it's not even worth discussing, lol.

But these Transformers are killing me and I love it, lol. It was moving a bit slow here lately so I ventured into the Toyark section. Bad move, now I'm spiraling back into collection mode like I never stopped. All good, I'm in a decent position now with a wife that believes I should get what makes me happy and a daughter who plays with Darth Vader, Godzilla and Marvel toys.

The Takara Soundwave is the only Soundwave worth buying. The red eyes are more than worth losing the tapes over.

Yellow eyes ruins the whole thing.

 

Anyway, the only KO I'm interested in right now is Exhaust the the proper Marlboro deco.

 

Generations Armada Starscream to Voyager

Ooohhhhh... I'd like to see a voyager Armada Starscream! Better yet, give us the Armada Thundercracker we never got!

 

I'd love it if the guys behind the Clone Droid KO of MMC Hexatron did a slightly oversized (like 20% bigger) version of MMC Leo Dux.

 

I'd definitely buy a Voyager (MP) upsized Takara Legends or Hasbro Generations Arcee. If she were scaled a little bit larger, I'd have no problem putting her on my MP shelf. She currently comes up to MP-10's crotch, but should come up to his elbow.

 

Leader Lugnut is the only Transformer I'd buy for the forseeable future. He was always towering everyone else and the Voyager while having probably one of the best molds ever is just a bit too small. Leader sizing him would make him able to punish the Autobot scum for their insolence in the name of the glorious Megatron.

.44 Magnum Robo from Microchange.

The third in the three gun robos for Microchange. You know one of them. The P38 pistol would later go on to become Megatron. We had a KO for M1910 Browning, and with Megatron you could have the complete set of the gun robos!

 

I'd want something a bit bigger than Leader-class. Lugnut was one of the few Animated figures I didn't because it was so tiny.
