Unlike the "Voltron Marsrobot", which is remolded and recolored, we have news of a much closer copy of Hercules coming out in China.

According to this auction the set will come out in January 2015.

    ½ð±¦°æ±äÐνð¸ÕTFC´óÁ¦Éñ×éºÏ Ô*´óÔ*É« ¹¤³Ì³µÁùºÏÌå ¹ú²ú×æ¹ú°æ-ÌÔ±¦Íø

Since this could easily be confused with the real thing (unlike the previous KO), until we see if it at least has unique packaging, I'm mentioning this as a warning.

EDIT - Okay, on closer inspection there are some differences. It is slightly simplified and actually has extra paint details!

One major giveaway it's a KO.
Dr. Cranks crane can't split in half.

As long as people know that, they should be good.

I'm all in for a cheapo Hercules, as long as it looks good, just so I can display the originals in 'bot modes. Hopefully they'll even upsize it like Uranos and M3 so I can have an MP Devvy.

I am soooooo getting this. Currently only have two arms, one leg, the two Crazy Devy alternate heads, and the Rage kit. Imagine this will be cheaper than getting the remaining ones.

The scoop on the right arm is also ball-jointed.

That is the least flattering picture of Hercules I've ever seen.

Goofy-looking new head, random green dot on the gun and no crotch flaps. The fingers also appear to be missing one joint each.

Because the target demographic for this particular product is most likely children, not adults (specifically Chinese children, given that the manufacturer appears to be working to the "Ten Percent" rule). From that perspective, the Hercules figures are perfect KO material - they are robust; transform in a straightforward way; and have appealing, brightly-colored construction vehicle alt-modes - so the amount of changes the manufacturer needs to make are comparatively minimal. (By comparison, producing a similar child-friendly KO of, say, Intimidator or Feral Rex would be daunting if not outright impossible task.)

I'm adding it to my watch list...I was gonna aim to pick up a Devastator in a few months anyway, after Star Saber hits.

I personally don't feel Herc is worth anywhere near the $400 to $600 asking price. My own personal opinion... But this, this will be worth having, once I paint it up a bit, as the Devastator in the back ground of my mp display, with the legends insecticons in the forefront... Not perfect, but good enough to cheaply pad my display until better things come along.

$400-$600..? You can regularly find herc for more like $300-$400. Both on ebay and the forums sale section.

well, if the KO is straight up copied except for Dr. Crank, just get an official one and it'd be worth the 150 mark... only thinking of the KO alternate version to paint and play with for experimentation... but I do love KO's... it's kinda like having something more exclusive than botcon or lucky draw figures after 2 years... I love my OS ko bruticii from paul! :thumb

thanks scaleface... wish I knew where to watch for a preorder for this. I'll subscribe to this thread for when you tell me where and when to jump.

if paul get's it first, give credit! :thumb
