Got mine yesterday. I found zero QC issues.

I really can't wait for the clear head to arrive, going to complete the Toy look and make me really proud to display this MP.

Also, I'll put this up in BST thread too but does anyone with a Toon version want any combination they see here? I'm looking to trade for or buy blue bot eyes.

I couldn't get them to line up for the life of me either. Then I transformed him, and when I transformed him back, boom, perfect fit! So that's my advice!

 

I'm glad Scoria came with a redhead nice on Fanstoys, just got this guy today. First Iron Dibot and man he's geat he feels like the Holy Grail of my collection at the moment until Stomp arrives. No lose shoulders and the wing kibble stays up really no QC issues loving it.

 

I've decided to buy the diaclone versions also. That blue scoria just did something for me.

 

Scoria's sword

For the life of me, I cannot get Scoria's sword to fit in his hand. The way the hilt is shaped, I am thinking this has to be the wrong sword or something.

 

No.... it's the right sword. You need to tilt the wrist/hand forward for it to fit. Poor design oversight.

 

for those who got this new version...does it have the same arm/leg looseness? I´m asking because I got Sever today... and man, what a huge difference, this big boy is solid as a rock.

I do hope FT remake Scoria with those strong joints.

 

No issues with my FT04T at all. The arms are a bit squeaky but that's it  

 

Honestly, I'm a little surprised that Fanstoys didn't see fit to fix this particular design point with future mould updates. It's such a no-brainer.

 

Scoria's legs are loosey goosey. First thing I noticed when I got him

 

Got this guy in today. He's absolutely a gorgeous figure! I was hoping to give him blue dino eyes, but that eye piece seems to be wedged in good, and I didn't want to risk chipping the chrome. His shade of gold is really the only drawback, but I guess I can live with it.

Mine does have one minor issue...There is a chrome bubble right on top of the dino head. I'm debating if it's worth seeking a replacement...not sure how hard it would be to swap the head.

 

I'm on the fence about this guy. Should I pull the trigger? I only have Sever right now.

 

Get it done! The Toy version looks great and the QC looks to be improved.

 

I'm actually surprised that, considering how long it took to release this repaint, FT didn't actually made any improvements.

The sword gripping for example could've been a pretty easy fix.

But also the legs. Simply replacing the complete and very heavy diecast feet/heel part by a diecast foot with a plastic heel, would've done much for the hip issue.

 

Then you would have had a bunch of people in here yelling 'OMG! Where's the diecast! this figure is ruined now!!'

 

Anyone pre order from kapow? Of so, have you heard anything?

 

tfs-express have their stock in and shipping out from tomorrow can't wait been without a scoria for nearly 2 weeks  

 

they chromed that middle red chest piece for the toy release? what a weird change. kinda looks gaudy to me but I wasn't really looking to buy this version anyway so my opinion doesn't matter. was just interested in how the final version came out.

 

I asked on Facebook on the 15th - but andy said he didn't have any info yet - I'm stressing a bit now with all the other stores having him in stock (and often cheaper)

 

Not to necropost, but I gotta say the difference in the gold's and red's doesn't bother me in the least. Heck the pics of the different versions mixed together look great as well.

When I look at my shelf I just see big, imposing, blinged-out dino/robots that look exactly like what I've always imagined MP Dinobots should!!!

Malware, I wonder does MP-10's gray thighs/waist/leg vents, MP-20 Wheeljack's inaccurate paint scheme, MP-13 Soundwave being blue and grey not blue and white as the animation depicts, and any other liberty that Takara has taken in straying/updating from the toon image mean you feel they have "missed MP perfection" as well? Just wondering...

On topic, my FT-04T is scheduled to be here tomorrow, so I'm stoked!!! Already sold my toon version to fund it, now gotta pre-order that clear head so I can have that option on him as well as Soar.
