And man, TW is a genious with this release, and sure hope we will get Omega Supreme and Metroplex too (along with the other 2, Tripticon and Scorponok, but I want Omega most, then Metro!!!)

 

Super excited for this figure! Putting this guy with my Headmaster group and keeping PE Warden in the IDW group. Think it fits in much better.

I notice there's some paint on the figure that's not present on Grant.

Anyone know if it will come with the G1 inspired stickers?

 

It looks like Infinitor has paint, Grant has stickers.

 

I love the size - I hope they roll out the rest sooner than later!

 

This will be a Fort Max for my G1 Fort Max to play with.  

 

Will consider getting this one eventually. Grant was fun to fiddle with at the TFcon show.

 

Not a wise choice as their next headmaster with warden (a much better figure) out there. Should have gone with snapdragon/apeface/highbrow

 

Sorry, but I'd much father have Infinitor than Warden, but I'll stick with my Stronghold for now, since I already have him.

 

It's not even remotely similar to Warden.

 

^ Yup. Two completely different incarnations of the same character.

 

I wasn't saying he's similar to warden, just that they are both representing the same character, and warden does it better

 

Vastly different, enough to justify owning any of them in the same collection, yet all the same character.

That's like Saying Armada Prime represents Optimus Prime better than MP Prime.

2 different incarnations of the same character.

Warden represents IDW Fort Max with some G1 influence, whereas TW's is G1 Fort Max scaled down and articulated.

So yes, Warden does IDW Fort Max better than TW's, whereas TW's does G1 Fortmax better than Warden.

 

I accept the point, but don't you think a snapdragon would sell better?

 

This will be my very first 3rd party purchase ever. With what 3rd party figures cost, few figures would tempt me but Fortress Maximus is definitely one of them.

Is the master sword shown in the pick coming with the figure or is that some other 3rd party accessory?

 

If it was scaled back up or they made similar parts for the real fort Max I'd be all over that(Plus I could still use Warden for a head)

 

Aside from size, Infinitor does G1 better than G1.

 

This one also fits much better with TW's other Headmaster offerings, whereas Warden fits in better with FP's stuff imo.

I loved G1 Fort Max but I just had no space to display a 2 foot tall Transformer, so Infinitor is a dream come true.

 

Same. Well, that and I have no intention of buying an unarticulated G1 brick. Yeah, Fort Max was better than many, but he's still a brick in comparison to what we see today.

It's possible I'd want a good city-bot sized Fort Max if it were updated to modern standards. Something like Utopia, which I'm eagerly anticipating.

In the meantime, this is reasonably priced and a really great representation of the character, so I'm in.
