Messed with mine from CP last night. Transformed him once to make sure nothing was missing or broke. He does have a faint stress maklrk on both the front screw slots that hold the leg rotations rails in place. However one of my turret handles is missing a pin. Also if that little black plug that held the legs in piece was longer with a clip feature at the end the legs wouldn't come untabbed.

Other than that i couldn't find any issues and enjoyed the figure. Maybe someone will come up with those clipps like i was mentioning to fix the leg issue.

Any word from Dub K? My guess is they are held up in customs possibly.

My right forearm is missing the pin that holds the hand assembly in. I have pinsfrom customs, but friction holds the hand in, so, no bother right now, i don't want to take a chance to scratch the paint up boring the holes a little bigger and pushing the pin in.

Almost every reviewer grilled this toy for having major QC issues. Stick with the CW leader class for the time being.

By that you mean none of them? LOL at CW Leader Megatron...not worth the plastic it's made with, imo.

Despite having some issues with my first (broke in half) and my second (severe mold flash in the sliders inside the chest) I'd say this is still leaps and bounds above CW Megs.

I don't even understand that comparison, lol.

No comparison at all... Apollyon has only one competitor and its only a silhouette (Despotron). No word on release date nor any prototype. My copy had issues. I did some minor tightening. Despite the QC and some unlucky people who got some lemons, he is still undisputed when it comes to MP Megs! I know some are willing to wait but Im in my mid 30s right now. I am glad that we finally, finally have a great MP Megs!!!

What's the best Transformation video? I just got my Apollyon. It looks great, but I'm scared to transform it, and I'm at work. I'll have about an hour of free time tonight and I would really like to know a great video guide for Transforming my figure AND if the reviewer discusses weak points or defects to look for I'd really appreciate it. I don't have time to watch several videos, and I'm terribly excited to play with this toy. It simply looks amazing! Best Megatron I've ever seen. Ever.
    Thanks in Advance.

Peaugh and Paik. They both go in opposite directions in terms of transformation, so watch one for robot to gun mode and the other to go in the opposite direction. Both will show you which parts are tricky, which ones to be careful with and what the tolerances are.

Paik did film a follow up video showing the reverse direction of the transformation, I'd watch that one after you've seen his other one and Peaugh's.

    Paik's original:

    Peaugh's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH7SciqZ0zA

Benscollectables has a good one, but Paik and Peaugh I recommend first. Still, give Ben a view, it's an excellent review. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=832hw6fElr8

It's odd that in pics you notice the chest dimples but in hand you barely see it. Has anybody else thought the same, or did I just get one with a decent chest?

Just received mine, V2. Confirmed that neither orange plugs were glued in so both came out by hand with a simple pull. Protective film everywhere so none of the scratches reported in V1. Tight shoulder joints, ankles are still a tad loose.

Originally I wasn't going to transform him but curiosity got the better of me (And I have experience transforming MP-05, MP-09, Fansproject M3, etc). Unfortunately in deciding to do so I came across a major quality issue that others should be aware of if you're trying to transform Apollyon for the first time.

On the step where you rotate his hands into his forearms, check to see that the swivel is loose enough to do so. I pushed both until they were around 70% flush and then I hit major resistance. I then applied pressure and both snapped in flush BUT then it hit me, will the hands fold back out? NOPE! Both hands were stuck as if they were glued in. Tried for an hour to get them out with pliers but they were not budging. I was about to write the figure off until I decided to take a flat head screwdriver and pry them out. Caused pretty significant damage to each hand and inner forearm but at least display wise it will not be noticeable.

I think the tolerance on mine were out of spec as all the transformation videos I've watched the hands seemed to freely fold in and out without any issues. Sadly I don't think I'll ever be able to transform him into gun mode without finding a way to loosen the swivel first.

In robot mode yes he is everything everybody says. Has presence, fits perfectly into the MP collection, looks amazing and can pull off great poses. Just too bad there are issues (not sure how wide spread) when trying to transform the figure.

Those are my favorites, along with Optibotimus. And thanks for the speedy reply. Specifically, do any of those videos talk about weak points, or defects to watch for?
    Thanks,

Still has dimples, just far less noticeable, and yeah, more noticeable in pics, much less in hand, almost look non existant in hand, but some dimpling is still there.

Well I finally got my replacement Apollyon from TFS-Express, from the final batch.
And it is better than my first figure, which I returned to them.
It has NO SCRATCHES AT ALL. That is the single best QC improvement over the first figure. It has protective film on it and came in a bag for extra protection. The silver metal gun barrel comes in protective wrap as well.
There are no chest dimples either :)
Both orange plugs just pull out, there's no glue (yay!).
The accessories are not scratched to bits either. They were still coated in dust, but a microfibre cloth removed that easily.
Why couldn't they have done these QC measures from the beginning?

    The downsides/differences?

My old V1 had very tight ankles and shoulders (didn't need the replacement joints), the hips tabbed in securely and the chest doors stayed shut. The fusion cannon was loose on his arm though. Also some of the finger/thumb joints were loose.

The new figure has looser ankles (hard to stand unless well balanced) looser shoulders and the chest doors keep popping open. The hips don't tab in securely which is a real pain. All the digits on his hands are now tight. The fusion cannon is still loose on his arm, but he won't be using that anyway.
Overall I am really pleased I got a replacement figure, and now I have some real genuine Future (from the US!) I will hopefully be able to tighten those loose joints, and then he'll be good to go!

    Just arrived! Finally!

First impression... Looks the part... But a bit of a floppy mess when you try to pose him. I'm sure there's a knack but at the moment he's doing my head in more than MP-09 does when I try to pose him.
