Well, Takara and bold forms just got owned... Still prefer a tank alt mode, but my mp rarely transform anyway... Wonder what the eta is on this, and how accurate the eta is (aka are they like Fanstoys and you add 3 months to the date, or are they like toyworld, where you just sit and wait and HOPE they release within the given century...)

Looks awesome, but the fact that they didn't use a Walther P38 kills it for me. Megatron didn't have an alt-mode that was up to interpretation like the minibots did.

 

I would be interested but Xtransbots seems to just throw loads of stuff out without caring about quality so I'm not going to order anything of theirs any time soon.

 

Looks amazing to me. I'm blown away. If they can get the QC and colours right, I can't see how this could be topped, really. I'm really rooting for X-Transbots to pull this off as the figure they finally don't skimp on with QC.

 

I think X-transbot has some great designs, but they are really going to have to step up the quality of plastics and overall fit and finish of these if they want to get my money. So far FansToys is the only company to match Takara, where you could mistake it for an official toy if you didn't know any better, IMO.

I hope they can do it, there are so many companies making MP figures now, its a little overwhelming.

 

Its a nice effort but I'm not feeling it. I will wait and reserve judgement for now.

Takara, you really need to announce MP25 as Megatron if you wanna combat this.

This surpasses anything Takara has EVER done, in regards to Megatron. Their megatron heads are horrible.

No. The easiest tell is looking at the portion that forms his chest. Not the right shape.

 

As long as they ship it in bot mode. Else this thing will have a nightmare getting though customs.

 

Wow, looking at more pics i see a good amount of diecast too. I swear someone could photoshop a TT logo and i would be fooled.

OH SNAP! I expected some awesome goodness to come out of this panel but nothing this awesome!

I do wish it were a better company tackling an MP Megatron, so I can only hope that they realize they have to do some awesome QC for as high profile a release as this, or that this makes Takara Tomy quickly reveal their answer.
