Well, looks to be about Masterpiece scale, but the car isn't the model that Mirage is supposed to be. A little too angular, especially in the front.

 

I'm confident we will see a Takara Mirage so I don't know how I feel about this... Mixed I guess. But still I'm open to this if they pull it off, but the car Autobots all seem like they could get official treatment.

Luckily, I have no interest whatsoever in something that Takara's going to release anyway, and I can wait patiently for all their other figures.

I guess their perfect series means MP. This is pretty exciting. Another top notch company entering the MP scene is always welcome. Especially one with good price points and great QC.

The only thing I worry about is the aesthetic. MMC has a very specific feel to their figures, it would be interesting if they could emulate the MP vibe with their figures.

I know the MMC name alone is enough for some (I don't know if you are one, just using your post for effect), but I will wait for at least physical samples before I decide on either. Rendors aren't enough for an MP or MP stand in for me.

Just want to point out since this is a new line for MMC we don't know for certain if that will affect their pricing at all.

 

There's money still left in classics.

Interesting they chose Mirage as their first of this line.

DX9 needs to scale down their Mirage to Orion scale in order to get a sale from me then.

 

DX9 just needs to make a Hound now, so MMC can come out with a better one of him too!

 

From my understanding, this will be their mp / ox (and not their reformatted line) style figure previously mentioned.

I don't own a single MMC figure, but this might be my first. I really want to see a bot mode pic. It seems this fig is beating out DX9 so far. But, I still need more proofs from the two companies.

 

not feeling it so far. the cg model is very under detailed, and thus feels wrong. proto images may change that, but as far as the render is concerned, dx9 feels better.
like i said that could change with prototype images.

 

How are they going to fit this into their production schedule? They have several DJD guys, plus Seraph, plus Overlord, plus reprints of Arcee

Griff has said they aren't as wel funded as some other groups, but they have rolled out lots of new designs the last few months
