    I'm impressed with $120 for a 23cm tall robot, that's just 1cm short of MP10! it's essentially Leader Class, which is $45 at retail fo Leader Jetfire. So that' only x3 price for a limited run 3P leader.

    Anyone up to making him a little Pretender shell?

    I dig it but want all the normal goodies that a Max figure comes with. If you're going to be so slavish, go all out. Having said that, do exactly that for a Brave Max deco and I wouldn't even blink before pre ordering.

    Both are Grant... One's a TFCon exclusive and the other is the mass release version, I believe. ;)

    That's just pose and perspective; it's the same toy, just in Fort Max colors, which looks surprisingly bland and uninteresting, IMO. Grant looks much more aesthetically pleasing to me.

    Ok the thing that's bugging me is that the Headmaster seems totally unpainted. Grand Max's forehead should be the same color as his chest piece.

    anyone who wanted an articulated G1 version this is it....shrunken down of course. looks very g1 toy. much like that astro train...their new (my guess?) designer loves g1 toys it seems. this one is very simplistic....very simplistic. i can see why its not spendy for 3rd party standards.

    personally i'd wait for a non exclusive fort max redeco.

    Check on front page of tfsource...has a slash on $2000 and says exclusive for $119.99. That's what i saw.

    Ahhhhh... I see... They're comparing a vintage Grand Max to this one.

    A vintage would be a double headmaster with tons of accessories and gasket and gromit...

    And bigger.

    Looks great, and I'm very interested in a pure Fort Max or even Brave Max colorscheme. For $120 I'm sold.

    It's also less than a third of Utopia's price, so...

    Besides, it's not meant to be a huge citybot, just a scaled-down, articulated G1 Maximus figure.
