Well, it reminds me of Micromaster Gusher. Will we see a Pipeline? Oddly there is an actual Micromaster named Surge, but he's a similarly built crane. This one is definitely Gusher. Surge: Gusher:
Okay, chatted on Facebook with Dawgster. Seems he's planning on releasing this design on Shapeways under Hasbro when they start their partnership AND shopping out the design to a third party company for mass production. I'm curious how that will turn out. I'd be much more interested in a mass production toy, personally. If it is a Micromaster combiner, it's an automatic buy!
Updated micro masters, really? There is only but so much money in my wallet. I will have to admire these via the photos of others.
Nothing wrong with updated Micromasters. I'd love to see a poll done by Dawgstar asking people WHICH Micromaster they want to see updated though. As for the name, since Surge was an actual Micromaster, I'd change it to something else fun. Maybe something from the thesaurus for gusher? Like Geyser or Spout.
This is as much as a blow to me as it is to you all. The main reason these are not hitting the factory is because all the 3rd parties have stated that the Fans (you) do not want micromaster :-( I am hoping that at the very best 3rd parties will pick up my next designs that will be more inline with the current trends. this time it looks like I strayed too far off the beaten path and it didn't pay off. Thank you all for the support and sorry you have been let down. All the best DS
Maybe you should color it like RiD Grimlock, and try to sell it as a third party Dinobot. Those seem to get all the attention of the companies!
Dawgstar, can you explain how this FansArt thing is going to work? Will we have to paint the parts or will they be printed in color? Just wondering.
