I really can't unsee it now, either... it really is a perfect "8". I'm sure the color will blend that better... maybe cover up the detailing some.

That's pretty cool, a nice effect having the robot mode chest form a different "beast head" pattern.

 

Looks nice. Seacons and Terrorcons are six and seven on my wishlist. Can't wait to see what others have in mind.

 

Aesthetics of Blot are pretty similar to the MMC Predacons. He looks quite good but this Ordin isn't really giving me the Abominus feel.

 

Wow that looks great. But that's what i said when Warlord was revealed. Then MMC came along with Feral Rex and it looks greater. What i am saying is...ill wait til other players reveal their version. Because you know that once one player reveals, then others who have been working on the same character will sort of be forced to reveal too. Let the Abominus battle begin!

 

Think I might actually bite. Always had a soft spot for the Terrorcons, Blot in particular.

Unless someone does something truly beyond the pale to upstage these guys, I don't think we'll see much better.
On the other hand, I hope they engineer some good Abominus hips seeing as this will be somewhat larger and heavier than their previous combiner.
It's heartening to see a direct pictural comparison with Bovis; implies they have studied MMC's stuff and added it to their experience.

In theory he is though, or he can be. The whole point of the Scramble combiners was that they could re-arrange their limbs.

Ok, i'm caving. I LOVE the design of this guy, even with the misplaced limbs. The size is excellent as well (lol that they compared him to Feral Rex and not their own Predaking).

I really don't see how any other company can make a significant improvement on the design. The only dealbreaker will be if it requires a lot of partsforming.

Yes yes, of course. But how often do you see Strafe or Dragstrip as a leg? Most combiners are pretty "set" in who does what.

Though, I will admit---Blot always did make for a very fat, stumpy arm. Blot as a leg may just be for the better. (Have to be a LOT better for me to accept it!) I will definitely wait and see how the other Abomini turn out. I do love Feral Rex, and would very much like an Abominus that is similar. (if this is one of Sark's designs, I can't imagine MMC would also do Abominus)

I've always seen Predaking, Abominus, and Piranacon as the "big hulking monsters" of the combiners. (like, even more so than the others). I would prefer those three to be the biggest and bulkiest. (with Predaking being the biggest/bulkiest of all).

Hmmn. Noblot's colors are good at first glance (as in, proper G1 hues and all), but all that grey seems odd---my very first impression was that they were revealing Rippersnapper in color.

C'mon UT, reveal the others and to all the other 3rd party companies that are planning to do their version of Abominus: Stop your grinning and drop your linens! Show me the Abomini!  

 

List of "tells" that this is a Cassy Sark design:

- Hand mold
- Bot mode inner calf detailing
- Alt mode transformation

This and the other limbs seem to borrow a lot from the Feral Rex design.
