Quakewave is still King....even the Feralcons can't topple him for me. After messing around with Scoria again yesterday he comes damn close but he gets an honourable second place. I think Scoria's strength will come when he is surrounded by his team and that will be the crown jewel of the third party world.

Yeah I have a ton of favorite figures, but didn't "nominate" them. Engineering + all around quality should come before personal favorites (I love my FP headmasters, etc).

That said I must agree with this: once all the FT Dinobots are released (and hell, and they're just as rare as Quakewave), they'll be most desirable indeed!

It's all down to preference. I don't have QW so he doesn't count for me.

The best third party offerings I own is either MT Giant or PE Warden.

Like the former as Warden really cheats on the transformation.

Hands down, FT Scoria is the best 3rd party figure I own quality wise, but I hear good things about FT's Quakewave. I own cubix huff and with slightly better density plastic he would be the gold standard, because he's beautifully engineered and fun to transform in hand.

Respectfully, if we're categorizing then I have to say...

Combiner- Hercules, for size, aesthetics, engineering, and recognition factor. To clarify the last, unlike the other combiner teams, if you were to walk around wearing a t-shirt with Devastator on it but no other Transformers branding, some non-fans would recognize him. Also, arguably if not for a combiner of Herc's size and aesthetics dev teams wouldn't have followed suit with Rex or Ares and the like.

Original Character- Steel Core. Arguably it's a short list but his design, powermaster gimmick, and engineering make him a clear standout.

MP Scale- Quakewave. As much as I like other figures like Warden and Hexatron, Quakewave stands noticeably apart, and rivals MP-10 in desirability as well as rarity. To put things in perspective, Quake was an end of year top pick for 2013. Nearing end of year 2014 he's virtually impossible to find and if you find him nigh-impossible to AFFORD. Hexatron in contrast, with similar kudos is more accessible and less expensive.

This is a really difficult question. I like so many different things for different reasons.

Favorite combiner = Rex (even though I'm still waiting on arms)

Favorite combiner member = Car Crash

    Favorite Headmaster = Swamper

Favorite stand alone figure = toss up between Warden, Hyper Nova, and Hex

Favorite upgrade = 50/50 between MT Sentinel and FP Shadow Scythe

My vote would be Genesis. He is an almost perfect transformer and a true centerpiece. He captures the WFC design almost perfectly in both modes and throws in a surprisngly good third bonus mode for good measure.

Accuracy, quality, design, engineering, and playability - this guy has it all.

My runner up would be Quakewave.

MCCs Airborne Squad aka HoS Seekers.

They have everything. Fun play patterns, excellent range of movement, nice gimmicks and great built quality.

Maybe the only thing they're missing is a good transformation because the limps just folding in but that is more a problem of the base design and MMC tried hard to make it fun.

With their sharp sculpt they are the equivalent of a collector desk toy. You can just pick them up and pose them, transform them, play with them and they're are able to to all that for your enjoyment. :D

For me it is Toyworld Hegemon and MMC's Hexatron. Hegemon is a fantastic feat of engineering and nobody else weather it be HasTak or a third company have made a good looking G1 style Megatron that turns into his Walther P38 gun mode. And two years on that is still the case. Just a great figure all around.

MMC's Hexatron is just fantastic. The quality of the plastic his look and his stature. He turns into six modes and it is very well engineered. The fun factor of the weapons too. Just a fantastic piece of work.

Genesis, Quakewave ,Hexatron & Cyclops. They all look great on the shelf as stand alone figures.
Feral Rex hands down for combiner with Giant as runner up.

If it's something we have to already own, then I'd say Scoria. The leg transformation is god damn brilliant and he looks amazing.

If that's not the case, then I'd say Quakewave. He just reeks of perfection. As for combiners though, I'd say Feral Rex. I don't have him either but he looks magnificent.

EDIT: Upgrade set also goes to Colossus. Turned the worst Bruticus ever into a proper Classics masterpiece.
