I find some live up to the anime versions better than others. Gaogaigar and Volfogg are two who're a bit lacking compared to their onscreen counterparts, but on the other hand, I find many of the Dagwon guys, like Power Dagwon and Dagshadow, to be pretty awesome representations of their show versions.
Thing is, they belong to a different "era" of transforming robot toys, where show accuracy was not the be all or end all, and being plain cool to play around with was the main thing. So many of them rock beyond all belief, that photoshoot I did there took me a good afternoon since I was sat about combining and recombining most of the different robots into their various configurations.

With the Braves, I almost feel like G1 is still going.

The quality feels the same and they are a little brickier than G1, but that's probably because so many parts of them, fold & combine to make many different combiners.

One guys arm may double to be another's foot. So many parts of them become something in some way. This also helps with poseability sorda, mainly in the arms since many of them have elbows.

If you have Victory Leo Saber, then he's a good example of what they're like.
Brickish alt modes, but so many combination modes to make up for them.
They also combine in neat and brilliant ways that makes make you wonder why TF's never did that.

So much to do with these it's awesome and my favorite thing about them is by buying one new figure could change or upgrade the looks of the ones you already have, or turn an existing combiner into a even bigger towering giant.

So much to do with them you'll notice an hour has slipped by while just messing around with them and their combos.

I think what bugs me the most about them is the animals on their chests. I just don't understand a gold elephant crest on a dragon/jet bot , but then again I was always a big fan of Predaking.
They'd almost be perfect to fill in the space between the G1's and Beast Wars on the ol display.

One thing fun about them is alot of them split in half, so if you have a bot with a big sword...hehe

Still deciding whether or not to sticker mine up. They come with so many and they look pretty bare without them.

I'm thinking of picking up CM's GGGG but are the 'manes' of the lion's in the combine mode flimsy? Are there pegs to hold them into place or something?

One of my biggest complaint about GGG was the 'mane' on the head piece kept on moving each time I moved GGG...hope you guys know what i mean?

What do these Braves have in common?

I took these real quick, so the pics aren't great, but I don't recall seeing all these guys photographed together before. :D

I really like the looks of GGGG. The problem with it, though, is that it's so far from "perfect transformation". I understand the intricacies of the actual transformation scheme would cause some problems, but it bothers me so much that so many parts have to be removed and swapped out. Way too much cheating for my liking. It'd be different if those parts actually go somewhere in either mode, but not even close. Which sucks, because it looks beautiful

You forgot to turn around his feet. That will make him stand up straight in Robot mode :)

The mane on G-GGG stays on really well. It pegs onto the back of Galeon's head and really won't move unless you want 'em too. Galeon's head on the other hand...well, its' on a ball-joint, so it's a little finnicky.

Also, archon, that's what the DX G-GGG is for. It's pretty much a "perfect" transformation. Even Protect Gao and Broken Gao combine with Galeon like they do in Final. I think the only parts that really cheat are the mane and G-GGG's head, maybe. But, unless you wanna pay 600 bucks for one, I'd suggest you go with the Brave Gohkin one. I got mine for 166 from BBTS. Either way, you're gonna have a lot of accessories left over. From the hands, to the Protect Shade "fan." The Brave Gohkin one has a one-up on the DX one in that it has more die-cast and both the Bolting Driver and Will Knife, though. Whereas the DX one has no weapons at all.

Goldran is awesome! Wait until you see some pics of the combined mode of Great Goldran (Goldran, Leon Kiser, and Sokrage). If CM doesn't get around to those in a few days, I'll put them up.

Additionally, the Brave Revival Series reissue of Great Goldran (BR-05) will be out in May! Woot!

    Thunder Baron!

Really starting to get fed up with the poor lighting, as I'm feeling like I've tried everything. I've got a hundred watt bulb above the shot, one on each side, and one in front... and it still looks like it was just shot with a crappy flash.
