Just ordered the Avenger. Just can't get over how long he is when combined with the 3 trailers. Plus Felt like I owed it to Goldran hehe Also scored a DX TOMY Elderan Raijin-Oh his dragon mode is sweet.
Which Raijin-oh is that? The vintage set with the Bakaryu-oh dragon and the other three, or the newer one? The vintage one is awesome as Bakaryu-oh in dragon mode is absolutely huge. Plus, he combines with Raijin-oh to make God Raijin-oh, the second largest of the Ultimate Eldran robo (trailing behind Great Ganbaruger, who is easily the second largest robot in my collection after Brave Max)
Here's the Raijin auction (Victor Lyzingo?) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6058321977&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT Im a litte confused on this guy's history. Would'nt mind seeing more Great Ganbaruger pics. Guessing he's larger than Great Sunguard /Fighbird. Who's next on my list. DX Sun-Guard's jet mode is too sexy.
Ah, right, I know who that is now. He's Bakaryu-oh, the second mech from the Raijin-oh series. From what Fox (Windsheer on here, I think) posted on his site about Raijin-oh, he's the trump card of Earth guardian spirit Eldran, created along with the rest of the Raijin-oh mecha but kept sealed away until he was needed. The other one, Raijin-oh, turns up on occasion as well. Not sure what the Korean name on him is, but you'll know it when you see it. He's made of a little swordsman, a lion, and a phoenix. Great Fighbird isn't actually all that big compared to some of his brethren. I can't remember exactly, but if you include the Eldran robo as well, then Great Fighbird is only definately bigger than King Gosaurer, and Great Goldran. Maybe he's bigger than Great Da Garn GX and Fire J Decker as well, but honestly they're all so close in height that it is very hard to judge. The pair of robots who make him up, Fighbird and Granbird, are some awesome toys. Fighbird was the first Brave I ever got.
Thanks for the info. Bakaryu's backstory sounds interresting. Almost reminds me of BW2 Galvatron Fighbird looks too awesome. Wonder how his jet mode compares (in size) to the Bandai G1 Jetfire mode? Bet he made a kickass starter piece. He must be really good if you got hooked afterwards Great Fighbird looks alomst as wide as he is tall. Some of the Brave combos are so thick they almost need a different scale to judge by. All I have of the 2, is the Galaxy Defender Granbird knockoff. Would try to see if he can combine with Fighbird but usually ko's are larger. Plus that would be an insult to the Braves
Doug Dlin did a nice job of detailing the Eldran stuff in this post on att: http://groups.google.com/group/alt....411a6694f6f8?q=raijin&rnum=1#57e7411a6694f6f8
You know, despite having them both in my collection I never thought of doing that! Fighbird is definately the same length as Jetfire in jet mode, though, that I'm sure of. They're very close in scale.
A couple of quick Goldran pics. The train mode: and one that I've just been dying to test out, the "Miracle Formation". It's something on a par with the group Force Chip techniques that get used later in Galaxy Force, not that I've seen this in action:
OK, these are scans from LAST MONTHS Dengeki Hobby, for some reason absolutely nobody posted them on the internet, honestly, nerd today... but I digress. We have Super Golden Goldran, CM's GaoFaiGor looking more enticing them it did previously and another dvd set excluisve that none of us will ever own, yay! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/Fortmax/braveofmay04.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/Fortmax/c2ee90cd.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/Fortmax/2f84b7f3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/Fortmax/braveofmay01.jpg
Guys! Check out the link before for TakaraTomy's official announcement of Goldran! http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/brave/br-05.html The link also shows differences between the reissue and the original!

God, I hate GaoGaiGo. Soooo ******ed. Of course, I don't like GaoFighGar either. Lion chest or nothing, dammit!
Ams , thanks for the Eldran info. That's the first Ive heard the name 'ExploDragon'. Pretty cool that he does'nt have a pilot and like how he can be controlled. Guessing the kids use a computer. SF, sweet pics man! Really wanting that Captain Shark now , but must get God Silveron first. Fire Silver (I think thats the ambulane name) looks pretty awesome alone. Loving his robot mode. Can't wait for Avenger to arrive. He technically did today but the mailman slipped me the ol pink slip again without knocking. Bastard. Fort Max's links make me wanna cry! That little GGG looking guy is tiny cool and hot damn on those new shiny Goldran pics
Scored these today, Bakaryu's huuge! Pics of Bakaryu Comparison more pics http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Brave Series/
Yeah, Bakaryu-oh is one of my favourite Eldoran robo just based on his sheer size. He's such an incredibly fun toy as well, and he only gets better with Raijin-oh. (Note to self, must do a shoot of some Eldoran robo sometime)
While on the subject of God Raijin-oh, did you guys know CM's Corp has released a new version? http://www.toysdaily.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39183&highlight=%B6W%AF%C5%B7%E0%A4H%BB%F1
I've got a Da Garn X reissue sitting in the loft in London I must get round to eBaying soon ! But I wouldn't part with J-Decker, Iron Duke or Gun Kid for the world !|
Yeah, but from what my mates told me he can be flimsy and you can't really fiddle with him. That's one aspect why I prefer the 'original' versions!
I was on the fence about the vintage or that one for the longest time back when it was announced. That one is liable to be like the CM's GGGG, a very nice display piece but only a display piece.
