I love many Hot Wheels Batmobiles. The 1:18 version of the 89 Batmobile is one of the finest out there.
I have Herbie the Love Bug, The Batman's Batmobile, the Mystery Machine & a non-BBTF Delorean on my desk.
This is all that I have pics of so far. Need to take pics of my other Hot Wheels Batman stuff and everything else.
I love Hot Wheels. Before Transformers and other '80's toys, I had a bunch of them. And I still buy a few every now and then today. What I really want to know is how Hot Wheels collectors determine value? What makes some Hot Wheels more valuable than others? How can I learn this?
Treasure Hunts are always highly sought after. Variants(types of wheel spokes can be valuable but it really depends on the mold. If you really want to learn more I really suggest picking up a guide. Hot Wheels guide, Books | Barnes & Noble This is the one I have for vintage, but it's an older edition, there's more recent ones which should have better value ranges. Warman's Hot Wheels Field Guide: Values and Identification by Dan Stearns | 9780873496223 | Paperback | Barnes & Noble Haven't bought anything Hot Wheels in a few years. Used to mainly go after exotics, but than switched over to Muscle. Anything Mustang is a must especially the 67 or 68. Ended up stopping back in 06/07 once I noticed QC had gone done. Skipped quite a few Mustangs due to really shoddy paint work. I've dropped a lot of hobbies, but this one was hard. It was really cheap to keep up with(at retail) and I've been into Hot Wheels since I was 2. These newer ones especially releases like the Mystery Machine though are kind of drawing me back though. If I had to pick a favorite from my collection it'd probably have to be from one these 03 Pride Ride Honda Civic, 03 Dragon Wagon Toyota Celica, 08 All Star Green Go Cart, 06 Mustang Mach 1, or 07 Engine Revealers 69 Dodge Charger.
Hot Wheels is one of those toys that are so dirt cheap that whenever I go out shopping farther than my usual corner store, I buy one or two just so I will have something to take home with me that isn't food. I used to open them until I realized that, apart from sitting on a shelf and collecting dust, there just isn't all that much I can do with them, so now I just leave them in the packaging. Easier to dust at least.
^^ You have to try downhill racing! Get some friends together and have a great time. There are also online fantasy clubs. Here's a review we did with chugging tracks. Hot Wheels Chuggington Tracks Racing Review - YouTube
I LOVE Hot Wheels. I think I have around 220 1:64 scale cars and 10 1:64 scale Monster Jam trucks. Great pics guys.
can somebody give me a history of Mattel's notorious attempt at the transforming robot genre with its cars, Robo Wheels?, i know there are some unrelated guys in AcceleRacers, but they aren't mainstream as the Robo Wheels but oh well...........
If they made 1/64 scale Hot Wheels of all the Transformers G1 car models and they were painted the correct colors and decorated with all their details and Autobot symbols I would buy them all.
Does Anyone Trade? I was using hotwheelscollectors.com for trades, but they removed that feature last Dec. Anyone trade on here? I have a couple of carded ZAMACs and regular Treasure Hunts for trade. Looking to trade all together for carded Boulevards, Fast and Furious movie/Walmart line, and/or Magnum PI Ferrari 308 show line. Here are some pics:
Obligatory batmobile pic Gotta organize mine before taking photos. Don't collect them anymore, did as a kid so I've got a decent collection.
This casting is soo slick! The Michael Keaton Batmobile is still my fave, but I like this one a lot too.
